Wet wavy/curly hair help?

I love the look of my hair when it's wet. It's less thick and more wavy than curly. I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions or tips of how to keep my hair this way?

I was thinking leave-in conditioner, how would that turn out?

When my hair is dry, it's a mix of curly ringlets and waves. It's really thick and seems to go out thicker by my neck due to layers and makes the top look very dull and lacking volume, but you don't see the layers when my hair is wet.

Any tips or suggestions?

Also, how do you get rid of that knotted feeling on curly hair, even though your not supposed to brush it?

Ok...I have very curly hair that I finally LOVE after learning to control it. You can have great curly, wavy hair with some TLC. Yes, condition, condition, condition. Curly/wavy hair needs moisture. Comb your hair with a wide tooth comb or with your fingers while in the shower or after you get out to detangle. Then apply gel or mousse in your hair for definition and control. You can even lightly hairspray after the gel, for a little extra hold. You DO NOT need to brush the rest of the day. After styling, leave your waves/curls alone. The more you brush/mess with...the more frizz.

Curly hair should not be cut in layers or else you get frizz and that ';knotted'; feeling in it. If you must have layers, then LONG layers.

For a MORE CURLY look, then after styling hair as above...blowdry with diffuser or air dry....use a small barrelled curly iron to touch up the not-so-curly pieces. For a more wavy look, then as your wet hair is drying, clip duckbill clips to the ends to weigh them down as they dry.

I learned alot from the websites below and from 2 books on curly/wavy hair. I promise you'll love your hair and know so much more about styling it if you check out the info below. I always get compliments on my hair now. I can even send pics if you want. Feel free to ask me anything. I'm always here to help when it comes to curly/wavy hair!Wet wavy/curly hair help?
go online and buy the conair straitner it does wonders u can make ur hai curly,or wavy or straight and it stays perfectly for a week. i would try a leave in conditioner but be careful that it does not say aloe-vers or butter things like that cause then the thing is sticky hth
Check out Ouidad products. They are the best for thick curly hair. Someone I know has the type of hair you are describing and their hair always looks amazing and she uses this brand of hair products.
Mousse, I use Pantene for curls It's the best. Lots of mousse, possible hair spray too, just a little of a better hair spray.
