How do I deal with Curly Curly Hair -Help???!!!?

I have like Shirley Temple/red carpet hair times like one thousand, and it isn't those little curls it is medium to huge ringlets like you just curled my hair-but worse and bigger. But it is also very frizzy and super super thick because of this! But I am getting my haircut today and want to cut my hair short with a side bang but I don't know what I should do. Also if you could recomend any brands or certian types of products or products that would be really good for my hair and maybe that would help. Help?!?!How do I deal with Curly Curly Hair -Help???!!!?
If you want to run out and pick something up locally, I recommend trying the following products:

- Drugstore: L'oreal out of bed weightless texturizer (black tub, use under gel), LA Looks or Herbal essences gels, Suave naturals or vo5 conditioners, L'oreal vive pro hydra gloss or nutri gloss for curly hair, red Cream of Nature shampoo

- Organic/specialty store (like whole foods): Giovanni Direct Leave in condish, G conditioners, G tea tree shampoo, Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose or White Camellia Conditioners, AO B-5 Design gel

- ULTA: Devacurl products, Biosilk rock hard gelee, MOP-c curl defining cream (They also carry drugstore products and giovanni.)

These are all good things I have used, but be sure to tinker around with amounts and how you use any products. For hair type specific products check out these forums:

There you can find others with the same hair type and try out some of their favorite products. However, the most popular ones are usually only available online.

Here are some basic tips for curly hair that you might find helpful:

*Try to find a stylist who knows how to work with curly hair. You can find reviews by region here: http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlsalons

*Don't shampoo every day.

*Comb conditioner through hair in the shower.

*Apply styling products to dripping wet hair. Scrunch or twirl hair to achieve desired shape.

*Use styling products suited for your hair type. Don鈥檛 know yours? http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types

*Avoid terrycloth towels on hair; use linen, paper towels, or t-shirts instead.

*Air dry or use a diffuser with your blowdryer.

*Don't touch (or brush!) your hair while it鈥檚 drying.

*Once completely dry scrunch out any crunchy texture.

Lastly, it has made my hair so much better since I started the curly girl method! I used to almost never wear it down (it was a frizz/poof ball), but now I have pretty, shiny curls. ~:) It鈥檚 pretty radical鈥攏o sulfates (shampoo) or silicones鈥攂ut it鈥檚 so great for curly hair. I have incredibly curly hair too, but rather than look for a whole bunch of products that didn't work, I got my hair relaxed. Relaxing is like the opposite of a perm. It uses the same chemical but instead of curling your hair they pull it straight. It cost me around $100 but it lasts like 6 months to a year and it is definitely worth it. Relaxing your hair will make it a lot less frizzy and your curls will be softer and looser. It also allows you to be able to straighten your hair really nicely if you so choose.

If you don't want to get your hair relaxed, I know I used LA Looks Mega Hold gel back before I got my hair relaxed. It made my curls shiny and curly but not frizzy... and it lasted all day!

Hope this helps!

Good luck with your hair!
okay so my hair is thick too and wavvy, but not curly like that

but what i do is i get my hair thinned, just ask them to thin it for you.

they use this certain kind of scissor/sheer thing and somehow (i rly dunno howw) its makes your hair less thick. it works for me and i get it done everytime (and i also have my side bangs trimmed) also if you want to get your hair 'relaxed' thats always a choice too. they put some kind of chemical in it to make it less kinky i think, ive never done it.

and just buy shampoos and conditions like 'sleek%26amp;shine' or something like that.

soo i really recommend getting your hair thinned, it works very well for me. but idk about rly curly hair? it might be different? u could as your hair dressed person about it.

k hoped that helped =]
1. be blessed you have extra curly and thick hair, it's better than having extra straight and thin hair

2. big ringlets that don't do little 80's curls that look hideous are good too!

3. If you do decide to cut your hair one, one, it will make it more curly because there is no added weight to weigh them down, and two do not go for bangs. curly hair and bangs cannot mix: what will you do with them? straighten them? it will look silly becauseyou ree other hair is so curly and will damage them because you have to keep applying heat then they wont be able to grow back and may get shorter.

4. recommendnd leave in conditioners, losta conditioners, serums, heavy creams, and moisturizing/anti frizz shampoos and conditioners. Anything from a salon is great; don't get stuff for curly hair though, because they arsupposeded to enhance your curls and it sounds like you don't exactly want that.

5. bangs are bad for most people because most people don't have th etime to fix them just right everyday and keep them that way. even when you feel like putting your hair up for the day you will have to keep doing yor bangs. especially if their curly.
