Puffy,frizzy,thick,curly hair! help!!?

i need a really really good hair straightener! CHI,HAI, Coriolis and all that wont work on my hair. the only things that works is a metal straightener but that burn your hair really bad. i have even been to hair salons and they couldn't even straighten my hair!! everytime i straighten it...i looks like i just blow dried it with a really good blow drier!... i was thinking about getting the FHI runway but thats like $350.00! i have also heard of the GHD but idk if it will work! help me please!Puffy, frizzy, thick, curly hair! help!!?
well i wouldnt know how to answer your question. Try getting a chemical straightening or a relaxer then blow dry. did you try washing your hair, setting it in rollers then blowdrying it? you can try paul mitchell super skinny serum which thins your hair then helps make it straighter.

Rusk flat-irons are amazing but they are around $200 plus ... so I'm not sure if you think that's expensive or not but I know it's worth every penny; I hope this helps :)
maybe instead of getting a straightener, you should first learn how to tame the monster haha trust me i have thick, curly and VERY frizzy hair that has taken me awhile to learn about. don't go to the last resort by frying it will a straightener. no matter how much protectant you use on it.

for curly hair the number 1 thing is it needs moisture. i recommend you invest in a very thick, moisturizing conditioner and deep conditioner. they don't have to be expensive. also, another thing you'll want is a leave in conditioner. i LOVE garnier fructis's sleek and shine leave in conditioning cream.

for the frizz, you'll want a serum to tame it. i recommend john frieda's frizz ease serum. since your hair is thick, it will be able to handle this and you only need a tiny bit of it for all of your hair. it's a little pricy but well worth it.

another thing you'll want is a styling product that will hold the curl/texture of your hair. i personally like mousse (aussie's catch the wave is what i use cause it has a leave in conditioner in it and my hair is dryyy). but you can also use gel, spray gel etc.

learn about what's best for your hair!

if you want a straightener, i recommend the CHI or Sedu. both are great but expensive. the chi doesn't have a temp setting on the original model however, but it's what i have, and i only use it once in awhile because i don't want my hair to get damaged....it makes my hair SO smooth. the sedu has a temp setting well over 400 degrees, which is a little high.... check out reviews at folica.com
