don't use moose - use leave in conditioner and a curl activator - which is healthier for the hair. and for shampoo try using salon quality, ones that hydrate the hair and scalp.

don't use a fan either - that makes hair super dry - and don't brush your hair when its dry (that makes it really frizzy - only do this before washing your hair) and don't brush your hair when its wet - that's when your hair is 10x weaker than usual ...

hope this helps, cause i have curly full hair too
I have curly hair and it goes ether down or into an afro. I have had it for 2 years and it is healthy. I use this conditioner called cholesterol. It is really easy to use and i can wash my hair everyday and it wont be really dry or frizzy at all. I have done this since 8th grade and now im in 10th so its been a long time.
HAH! funny.

try summer's eve.
Stop using shampoo.

I used to have very dry curly frizzy hair and I read somewhere that shampoo should not be used on curly haired girls as it strips our hair of all our natural oils. Hot water already removes the dirt grease and bacteria. Shampoo is a scam.

After a dropped shampoo my hair was immediatly softer, stronger, healthier, moisturised and defined with zero frizz. I definantly reccomend it.

Oh yes and please ignore the comments stating ';YOUR SUPPOSED TO WASH YOUR HAIR 10 TIMES A WEEK!'; Not only will it dry out and damage your hair 10 times worst than it already is, washing your hair that often made one of my friends hair fall out in clumps.
I too am cursed with dry curly hair. Try Garnier Fructis hair serum. It comes in a little round bottle with a pump. It does wonders and also the shampoos and conditioners from that line are excellent for taming frizz. I use the whole product line and my hair is the best its ever been and it isn't that expensive. They also have this shining mist spray that you spray on your hair as a last step and it makes it look really glossy and healthy. I couldn't live without it now!
You need to wash your hair at least 9 times a week. And you need to use REDKEN CURL CONTROL and you need to not use so much mousse and lots of conditioner. When you are Shampooing, pull your hair down instead of just messing with it.
Well you can try to buy different shampoos cause some work better than others

Care:For curly hair, you should touch it as little as possible. Instead of a brush, use a wide tooth comb. If you hair doesn't get oily/dirty easily, wash your hair every other day. Use a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, because curly hair is often very dry. Fructis and Sunsilk are good brands. You should also use some sort of anti-frizz gel. I use FX curls up. Some other good brands are Tresemme and Fructis. If they don't work for you though, keep trying. I had to try five different frizz gels before I found the right one for my hair.

i am mixed i also have curly dry hair well i did but the best things are the ethnic products its not like it has glops of grease in it it stops the frizz as well and i use smooth shine mousse keeps ur curls i dont know how to add pics or id send um :)
Okay first off you need to wash your hair more than 2x a week. Sorry but thats kind of disgusting. Maybe you should wash it EVERYDAY! Second of all i can help you because i too have curly hair. When it's wet get jell and scrunch it. Let it air dry. Use the Aussie shampoo and conditioner.
check your haircare products they might have some type of alcohol that will dry it out. i use leave in conditioners and rinse in cold water. i absolutely love pantene pro v for curls and their line of products and i also use sunsilk ... or if its really dry try mayonaise. rub it in your hair then put a plastic cheap shower cap or plastic bag over your hair and run the hair dryer. protenes from the egg strengthens and the oil should help with the frizz. mayonaise is oil and egg.
i have the same hair! heres my hair routine

Shampoo- curl life-gives you defined curls

Conditioner- V05 moisture- gives you hydrated curls

while your hair is wet!

*Separate your hair into four parts and apply leave in conditioner (long term relationship by herbal essence) curl hair gets dry super easy this will give you hydration

than use paul mitchel flexible style and defining curl gel scrunch through your hair and maybe use a diffuser(:

hope it helped!
With hair products that contain alcohol, which are almost all of them, your hair will only get drier. I have dry hair, and use only natural products and prefer pure coconut oil or cocoa butter at the ends and just the teeniest amount, which is key btw on the majority of the hair. Avoiding the crown/top of the head. Its the simplest thing and works the best. Also a lot cheaper than the millions of hair products out there. Also-stay away from mousse as that drys hair out a lot.
Use head and shoulders it works really well my hair was smooth before but it made my hair Look lot better!!

there are many diffrent types you can use to use the dandruff control one because it gives your scalp the most care which is the base for good looking undry hair!!

Hope that helped!!
barbershop or a hair stylist. what else?
Use herbal essences hydration shampoo and conditioner. It worked for me, it would probably work for you.
ew 2x a week? Gross. Wash ur hair every night. Also, use an extremely moisturizing conditioner; tresemme hydrating is good... one that i find better is those salon brands, the salon person will know which one to recommend. also, use a good hair lotion, those are sold everywhere. Don't use mousse as thatll dry out your hair. I have a friend who has hair like yours.. it's brutal, it's so dry and straw like, i feel bad for that girl. Anyways, I hav dry ends from dyig my hair a lot and I just use conditioner on the ends, and role them between my hands. Then leave the conditioner for a few minutes, and then use a leave in conditioner. My hair is a lot softer than it was. Don't not wash your hair, don't you see how disgusting that is? Like maybe you don't smell it, but other people would. I have this friend who only washes her hair once a week and I am too nice to tell her I gag every time I get a whif of her head when she sits near me or kneels by me and my face is close to her hair... gross. I'm sure I'm not the only person who thinks that.
go to your hairdresser and get your hair treated. and wash it a bit more, dont use mousse everyday either.
you should wash it more often. every other day. you should use herbal essences totally twisted shampoo and conditioner. it's for curly hair.

also, if it's really dry, use a leave-in conditioner. i used to use garnier-fructis curl and shine (not SLEEK and shine, but CURL and shine), it was soooo wonderful, but i never saw it at the store again! i even looked online, and i found it at ulta.com, but when i actually went to an ulta location it wasnt there! but if you find it, most definitely use it. it was so awesome.

if you cant find it, buy some other leave in conditioner. i dont like the leave in conditioner/gel combinations, because they make my hair weird and stringy.

wash your hair in the evening before you go to bed, and leave it to dry overnight. put a towel on your pillow. your hair will dry longer, locking in more moisture.

also, dont brush your hair. it will make it really frizzy and gross. instead, finger comb it really well in the shower after rinsing the conditioner. your hair should look fine in the morning without brushing it.
In the shower, comb your hair with your fingers to get all the tangles out while conditioning. Leave the conditioner on for at least five minutes, then wash it out. You can leave a little bit in to keep some moisture. When you're done washing your hair, always let it air dry! Towel drying and blow drying will cause it to break and dry up. I prefer a light curl cream over mousse. Go to naturallycurly.com for more tips.
Agreed about the natural oils that build up in your hair in between washing (being good for your hair, that is).

Buy a charcoal filter to remove the chlorine in your water. The chlorine strips your hair of the natural oils.
i get compliments on my hair all the time so i think what i do makes it look nice xD

i would recommend using a leave in conditioner after you towel dry your hair. this will make it healthier and nicer after a few washes. i use ion but there are many choices out there.

also a finisher once it's dry. like Frizz Ease Finishing Creme. it works very nice and keeps down all the frizzys.

hope this hellped [:
um. I would try head and sholders shampoo and con. thats what i use. It is for dry hair. But for the frizzy part im rly not sure. Im really sorry. Good luck tho
wash your hair every other day. leave a little bit of conditioner in your hair when you wash. like rinse most of the conditioner out but your hair will soak up the moisture of the conditioner so leave some in. also i just tried a product that i really liked called biosilk. it's kinda expensive but it worked SO well. i think they sell it at target. herbal essences none of your frizzness is a great shampoo/conditioner, plus is smells really yummy! only brush your hair when its really wet, never brush when its dry - that causes frizziness and breakage. also try getting your hair cut shorter, a little above your shoulders in good and ask the hair dresser to thin out your hair. they'll know what im talking about.

hope i helped and good luck!
I have the same hair. Thick, curly, dry, and poofy. The best I can suggest is try different mousses till you find one you like, and maybe get a spray in conditioner. I liked it, but different hair reacts differently.

Mainly I've just started tying it back because its getting so long.
