Dry,dull, frizzy curly hair help plzz!!!?

i have curly hair and its very dry i have no shine what so ever in my hair and its frizzy i need advice on what to use to restore my hair to shiny looking healthy hair noting to pricey though thanks alot!!Dry,dull, frizzy curly hair help plzz!!!?
Aloe Vera,is a good remedy for dry hair. It is obtained from the leaves of the Aloe Vera plant. Break the leaf and squeeze out the liquid inside, apply this liquid to your scalp, keep for about an hour and wash it off . Check out http://solutionsfordryhair.blogspot.com/ for more info.Dry,dull, frizzy curly hair help plzz!!!?
I use hair serum to add shine to mine... There are several brands and you kind of have to try different ones to see which will work best on your hair type...

You can get them expensive or cheaper at drug stores or Target, or Wal Mart... Also try soaking your hair in conditioner and wrap in a towel, for about an hour... Polish your toes or something to waste the time... It helps, really...
If you don't wanna spend a lot of money on fancy shampoos, here's two things you can do at home-

x. Put mayonnaise in your hair. It sounds totally disgusting but when you take it off, you'll see that the mayo actually repairs a LOT of damage done to the hair and leaves extremely soft and shiny and healthy

x. Olive oil. You can put this in your hair, too. Not as gross as mayonnaise, so you just put it on and it makes your hair super shiny and soft. It doesn't repair damage but it makes your hair, like I said, super smooth and silky!
I like Garnier's shampoo for frizzy, rebellious hair. It has a orange flashing label and you don't really need to add conditioner. It does cost more than the other garnier products so I suggest waiting for a sale...

But since I love animals and would not like using animal tested products, I use yves rocher's (www.yvesrocher.com) hydration shampoo, the one with a blue bottle.

He uses plants to make the products so you won't have to worry about having weird chemicals on your body. If you order some stuff, they give you FREE stuff and free samples, also, and chances to win a car, or a spa or stuff like that...they'll also send you monthly flyers to your home to give you perks on new stuff. But you must order it online first, OR give them a call. They have official shops in Canada, not usa but they still ship there.

Their scented shampoos and perfumes smell THE best.

Hope this helps.

Straight Bangs on Curly hair??? Help!?

I have thick curly hair (think Jordan Sparks or Halle Berry).

I usually straigtened my hair but I want to start wearing it natural.

the problem is that I have bangs and I don't know how to style them with I wear my hair curly. I can't pin it back b/c I want to cover my forehead a bit.

Are there any hair curly hair styles where you can just straighten your bangs?

Please help.

Thanks!Straight Bangs on Curly hair??? Help!?

i went to google and typed it in.. so you can see what some people do.

i had bangs and what i would do is straighten my bangs..

and then put a lot of hair spray and hair gel in my hair to make my curls flat but cute...

it looked really niceStraight Bangs on Curly hair??? Help!?
yea, it would look sorta kinda wierd with straight bangs and curly hair...you could just wear your bangs curly with ur hair if, one thing that is always cute is wearing a stylish headband wear ur bang line meets ur regular hair!
yes there are, if you have thick spyraly hair then straight bangs will look good no matter what, unless they are forward bangs, for instance, (
||) side bangs work with this style and straight dont. make sense? side bangs %26gt; (/////)
Yes. Just straighten your bangs with a hair straightener. It looks great.
Straight bangs look good on curly hair! :]
Straight bangs, curly hair, retro style from the 40's -60's
That is what I do, just straighten my bangs. I have really curly hair.

Check out this website:

Good Luck! Curly hair is the best! All the straight haired girls want what you have.
no it does nt go well it is like polka dots and stripes
I just straighten my bangs and leave my hair naturally curly. it looks pretty!
do you mean straight, like straight across the forehead like this ?

http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/entertainme

or straight, like straightened with a flat iron ?

i think curly hair with bangs straight across the forehead is super cute. i have that hairstyle and i like it(:
you should just leave your bangs curly that way is everything is natural it ouwld be weird if your bangs were straight and the rest of you hair was curly
to me i like straight bangs but it is up to you
All people have different opinions, but i dont like it. It breaks up the look too much. I have curly hair and ive done it before, and i was so upset! Plus, you hair can get a mind of its own. it will poof so bad! dont do it!
You would do best with using a ceramic straighting iron or trying to incorporate the curl into your hair with finger styling.
straight bangs on curly hair is cool. i do it all the time i think it looks better then if you have to bangs curly. but this is if they are short.
Actually, just straightening your bangs with curly hair is the norm for bangs. If you're worried about them looking funny, straighten them as much as you can so that they are as long as possible, and sweep them off to the side--they will still cover your forehead, but blend in to your hair a bit more.
I have naturally wavy hair, and it's really pretty, except for that my bangs flip out and just do not look good. I straighten them (not on really high heat) and leave the rest wavy. Also applying curling mousse (pantene pro-v style curl defining scrunching mousse, 4$ at drugstores) enhances your curls, and if you have a few more minutes to spare, you can perfect them with a thin curling iron.
I have natrually straight hair, but when i curl it i wear my bangs straight. It makes you look a little more put together if they are straight, instead of having whole head with a bunch of curls.
It can look really nice to straighten your bangs with your hair curled. I do that, and it looks fine and not unnatural at all. A good way to make it blend well is to sweep the bangs off to one side after straightening them. Another, if your bangs aren't long enough to sweep over, is to use the flatiron or a really wide curling iron to give your bangs a slight curl but with an overall smooth texture. This can look really good as well.

Hope this helps!
You should keep your bangs straight! It will look awesome! Good luck! hope it looks amazing!
i have seen girls around my area with curly hair and a straight bang and it did look cute to me..maybe you should check out some hair websites and check some hair designs..maybe

Okay so I have curly hair, should I straighten it for school tommorow?(I normally straighten it once every two weeks)

Do u prefer curly or straight hair???CURLY HAIR HELP??! please(GUYS AND GIRLS)?
Wow! I just got two points!

I must have the best awnser :O Gasp!

(Straight!)CURLY HAIR HELP??! please(GUYS AND GIRLS)?
    Stright!
i prefer straight but curly is really original

go with whatever you feel is the best

if you feel comfortable and you feel that you look good then go for it

    good luck

    :D
    STRAIGHT!
Straight hair but that is just me!
It depends on the size of the curls and the length of the hair. I have a friend with shoulder length hair, with big curls. I think it looks really good on her.

If it's shorter hair or small-ish curls, then I might encourage a straightener. My sister once got a perm gone horribly wrong. She had really tiny curls and they were so tight that it shrunk the length of the hair and made her look like little orphan annie...

...so I say, big curls with length: yes

    ....and small, shorter curls: no
    you and me sista!! lol

sure, you should straighten it. i like straightening my hair, but sometimes, it's just so fun to wear it loose. it's so bouncy and different from everyone else's.

well, i like being unique, so i'd wear it down, but u can straighten it if you'd like!
If you don't like it curly, straighten it a little.. Not all the way, so it'll be wavy. It'll probably look good. Try it once and see if you like it.
i have curly hair and i love it i think that u should wear your hair curly because its gorgeous and not all that many people have curly hair, just stand out beautifully!
Depends what kind of curly. if its like a ratty curly then deffinatly straighten it. but if it looks good... then i like curly hair better. it just seems to have more life to it and it looks funner. i have naturally really straight hair and it wont hold a curl unless i go to bed with my hair wet in a bun. and anybody can straighten their hair so i would say i like curly hair better
I love a girl with curly hair. I think there is something really sexy about it. Everyone has straight hair today so few wear their hair curly. I say go curly a little and see how you like it. I mean about every woman I have seen with naturally curly hair has looked really good with it. That's just my opinion, hey if you don't like it you can always straighten it again. =)
wuteva makes u feel and look good.i have super curly hair and 4 a change i straighten it evrey once in a while
which ever one you like and which ever you feel most comfortable in =). If you can flaunt it have it.
I'd go with curly. If you keep straightening it all the time its sort of like you are not accepting yourself? If you know what I mean? I reckon curly hair is better, and curls look so awesome =]. Plus straightening your hair damages it really badly, mroe than you realise. Stay natural! But at the end of the day, its your decision.

People with naturally curly hair..help plz :)?

what to do with curly hair after shower, what products you use, any hairstyles? thanks so much, answer as soon as you read this lolPeople with naturally curly hair..help plz :)?
moose works for mePeople with naturally curly hair..help plz :)?
I do this thing that makes it REALLY pretty. :) First, go to the shower and wash your hair with pantene or fructis (those are my favorite). Then, towel dry your hair. When its damp, I take garnier fructis mouse and scrunch my hair, which make big waves. I love them. Or, I towel dry my hair and then put some garnier leave in conditionaer to make my hair soft and untangly. Then I put my hair in 3 twisted buns and keep it like that over night. It makes a beachy look which I do for school. REALLY GORGEOUS. Hope I helped! =)
Umm lets see I have the worst type of hair mine is thick curly dry hair and the best thing to do is brush it put mouse on it then when it dries u can style it with hairspray and mouse. I saw these really cool shampoo hairspray mousee espicially for curls and also conditioner for curls you could use that
i use any kind of hair gel the real strong hold but i also use ausee (awesome volume) its a purple spray bottle i spray it all over and it helps the frizz and makes its bouncy and really cute but after i put that in i scrunch it with a towel or there are certain blow dryers with attachments that are good too
Always blow dry your bangs! There's one tip. If I don't do this, my bangs dry all funky and weird.

As for my hair, I do nothing. Seriously. Don't brush it, just leave it be. If you touch is or put product in it it will most likely become limp waves instead of pretty curls.

    Good luck!
I use ';It's a 10'; hair mask (conditioner) and leave-in treatment. Since my hair's kinda long, I just let it hang down. Any hairstyles have potential to make your hair knotty.
Hairspray. Spray has hold but does not weigh hair down. When you spray hair that is wet it dries really nicely without frizz, having a really nice curl.
Use John Frieda anti-frizz serum and Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Cream for Fine Curls and let air dry for beautiful curls, but don't touch it afterward.
Use some frizz control leave in conditioner...It's by Garnier or however you spell it..Hope this helps..

Oh and if you put a hand full of moose in your hair while it's wet that should help too
    i always wanted curly hair.
hair spray it works although it gives it a more wetish look
use any moose and scrunch up your hair while its wet, do this a few times
I blowdry it, straighten my fringe then use pantene mousse :)

    Thick and curly hair help!??

I want to get a hair cut but I'm not sure what I should do.

I have REALLY thick and wavy/curly hair.

I'm tired of the straight cut and I was thinking about getting layers or an Angle cut.

What do you think I should do?Thick and curly hair help!??
    oh you sound like meee!

i usually do a little bit of layers and i have some angles too. If you're unsure about how it will look, ask your stylist to layer it a little bit, and if you like it get more next time =)Thick and curly hair help!??
A girl I went to school with had thick curly hair (long) and she got it cut in a ';v';...kinda layered looking. It looked really good. Don't do anything dramatic though if you're experimenting...I did and I looked like a mushroom for a long time.
If your hair is curly like my bff you should do what she did you look in popular magazines for wavy and or people with curly hair and decide out of all their hair with u like the best
Really thick and wavy/curly hair.... hmmm. A lot of girls/women would kill for hair like that. Since you have it, pick a cut that will exploit its glory.
get rebond and have a new look
    Try layers or an angle
If your hair is really that thick and wavy then layers is the way to go. Not everyone can do it, as some people would kill for your kind of volume, so if you can do layers you should go for it. It is a sophisticated style that doesn't require a lot of maintenance. If you want to try other styles feel free to check out a hair straightener. There is a link to those in the source section of this post. I would try your natural hair type with layers first though.
My hair is actually the exact way but over the summer I cut it into a pixie. Instantly the hair was too short to curl and it looks totally adorable! But, if you have a round face then I don't recommend it. Otherwise, go for it. It will increase your confidence like crazy and make you stand out in a crowd.
My daughter has what I call ';bushman'; hair. It is long and extremely thick and unruly (not frizzy, just full and unruly). It was long and it just looked messy and it was not good. I took her to get her hair cut before school started and asked that they put longer layers in it. They took ALOT off of her hair but what a difference. The layers actually made her look less bushy and more stylish, even tho she still has a monstrous amount of hair, it is a little easier to comb as well.
If you don't want to do something as drastic as getting your hair choped off, try Loreal springing curls products. I got a VERY curly perm and they help me alot. it calmed my afro down and added bouncy texture. I also got mine cut while it was curly, and it was great! go for it girl!
You should let it grow neck length at the border line at touching your back and put a part in the middle of your head and have your hair combed on the sides of your head
I have the same problem! Personally, I think that if you get lots of layers it would look really cute! That's what I did, and I think it looks awesome...Except my hair is poofy :P

    Guy+long curly hair... help?

well, my hair is about 25 cms long, but it pretty curly...

is there a way to reduce the curls (not totally straghtening it)???

please help thnx ;)Guy+long curly hair... help?
The only way to get your hair straighter would be to use a flat iron or chemical straightening. There is no magical product (or comb) that will make your hair straight.

You can just wear your hair curly of course! Scrunch a little gel in wet, and you're good to go. Hope this helps! :)Guy+long curly hair... help?
Go to a beauty salon and ask them, they can see your hair in person and know the texture.. you're not even giving us a picture hahah. Best of luck m8, x

    I want curly hair, HELP!?

My hair is far from curly, totally. No matter what i do it seems he doesn't want to do anything except been straight. I have tried everything, curling iron, mousse, gels, even wax!!! Its hard to believe its still doesn't wanna go curly. Help!!!!I want curly hair, HELP!?
    Try this tutorial out.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoZ2QGq0n

I know this sounds crazy, but it works great!

depending on how you want your hair to look, this is what I suggest:

Plan to do this over night so that the curls set better and your hair will have more volume.

Roll loose if you want a loose curl, like this:

    http://images.eonline.com/eol_images/Ent

Or roll tight for a curl like this:

    http://celebritybeautysecrets.net/wp-con

Either way, plan to let it set over night.

Use a styling mousse on your wet hair before you roll, and again in the morning if needed.

In the morning, DON'T brush your hair out! This will make your hair puffy and frizzy! Use your fingers to style accordingly!

These curls will last all day!

And this method is so much healthier for your hair!

Best wished and I hope this could be of some help!

    =]I want curly hair, HELP!?
I know how that is! My hair is naturally straight and will not curl with a curling iron. I thought about getting a perm, but I don't know if I would deal with the curls 24/7. So what I figured out, is after I get out of the shower, I towels dry my hair and put in curling mouse and let it sit for awhile till your hair is almost dry. If your hair is still wet, the curls wont stay. Then take pieces and curl them up and bobby pin them in place, you can have someone else help with the back. Leave it in for a few hours, I usually do 3 hrs or more. Then take them out, style and hairspray, prefer Pantene products. My curls will last till my next shower.
Go to a salon and get it professionally curled, they should tell you how to do it after that.
    get a perm.
try using a hair straightener u can use it to curl.

Dying really curly hair . . . . help please?

i have really really curly, curly hair (im white and black), and right now it is dark brown. i want to dye my hair but i dont know which brand is the best because ive never done this before. . suggestions?????????Dying really curly hair . . . . help please?
You dye it just like any other hair if you do it at home. It will depend on what type of hair.

If your hair is more african-american there is a line of hair dyes that can be found in more stores (ie: Walmart). It's a richer color to lift your hair color from a dark brown/black to a more vivid color

My sister is white/chesnut brown hair and said the color was better.

I would try using any shampoo and conditioner along with paul mitchell leave in conditioner (the conditioner) and possibly skinny serum a few pumps and the frizz is gone.
i recommend putting heavy gel and hair spray on it... it will calm the curls... then wash you hair with tooth paste... it will take away the frizz

    goo luck and best wishes..
Wow !!! I'm so glad that someone is experiencing the same thing as me!! I'M NOT ALONE!!! Yay!! Okay sorry about that... =) I use suave natural shampoo and for conditioner I mix Burt's bees shine with grapefruit Conditioner with the suave natural Conditioner and put it on twice... hope it helps!!
You should go ask some sort of doctor, there is all kinds of hair and a hair specialist will help you the most.
I have the exact same problem, but when I went to a fancy salon they had the perfect solution. Now I love my hair!

First off, I learned it doesn't really matter WHAT shampoo you use. But I really love Sunsilk Hydro TLC Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner. It is REALLY important to use conditioner with frizzy hair! After you have shampooed and conditioned, it's best to put a leave in conditioner. I personally use Sunsilk Hydro TLC 24/7 Creme. I just put a dollop on my hands and work through my hair, from roots to tips. Because I have curly hair, and I suggest this for you, comb your hair with a wide tooth brush. Then leave it alone. Just let it dry naturally. If your hair still has some frizz problems, use a water based hair pomade. I personally use Redken Water Wax Shine Defining Pomade. You just need a little bit, and rub it carefully and gently into your frizz. This will make your hair shine, as well as give your hair that flexible control you crave. =) Hope that helped!!

    %26lt;3 Val
hey I know what your taking about! I have curly hair...I've tried all sorts of things..I now use a cheap gel called Dep Sport gel. I also use Pert Plus with conditioner. I know I use cheap products but these are the only ones that seem to control my hair...My cousin is a hairstylist and she is always fussing that these products are not good for my hair but i always say

';you don't know unless you have curly hair';. Curly hair is extremely difficult to manage... good luck!
I have no idea what Boots is, but I have the same kind of hair and I use Matrix Biolage. It's usually sold in salons but some drugstores carry it. Suave also makes an excellent knockoff version that I use when I can't get to the salon to buy the real deal, and it's exactly the same to me.

    scrunch it.
moose should do the trick. Apply to entire length of hair from root to tip after washing while your head is flipped upside down, and scrunch it while applying. Flip head up and let air dry!

    Good Luck!

    I got curly hair... help!?

i have naturally VERY ringletted hair. its not super tight ringletts but long and thick. it gets SO frizzy so i use anti frizz gels but half way through the day i find my hair is REALLY greasy. any other ideas?I got curly hair... help!?
that type of hair is so pretty(dont use the stuff)

own it.I got curly hair... help!?
i love girl who has curly hair. its my 2nd choice after wavy hair.
Your curly hair sounds nice... why don't you see a professional hair stylists to suggest a product that won't make your hair greasy. The reason you have curly hair is because it is dry so the product your using must be the wrong one if its making it greasy.
be happy you have curly hair my friend has extremely curly hair use herbal essences the curly kind and it helps i use it too i have really wavy hair and my hair aint frizzy
    Mine to.

Try a hair iron. It flattens my hair and...';decurls it';. :)
Herbal Essences totally twisted curl scrunching gel.

Or you could flat iron your hair and make it straight.
My hair is exactly the same way. I do use the John Freida products like ';Runway Straight'; when my hair is still wet as a relaxer. When it's still wet, I put ';Surf Hair'; by Garnier Frutis in and scrunch it. Surf Hair works EXTREMELY well for almost everyone I know. It will keep your hair from getting frizzy and give you some beach, sexy curls.
    Juico
first you should takke a bath first
    hey!

try the john fredia range its THE best!

    good luck x
There is a product by ';I. S. O. that will control frizz. It does work. I have natural curl myself and use the product daily.

Not sold in stores only available in salons call the salons in your area and find out who carries ';I. S. O.

The product will not leave your hair wet or crunchy but touchable.

I've been a licensed cosmetologist for thirty years.

    Hope this helps.;
I have the same problem and to kinda make it less frizzy at nigh take a shower and but i in a ponytail while it is til wet and make it super tight if you can and any lose ends fix with bobby pins.
i have the same problem but my hair has tighter cruls. ive learned that the least amount i put on the better. try garnier fructise Anti Humidty...it works 4 frizz 2.
Ha, me too. Just wash and dry, then straighten it with a flattening iron. Ceramic is the best, dont get discoraged if the first time you put it down and it doesnt really de-frizz. Just keep going over it and it'll flatten unless its defective. You can buy hair straighteners at walmart. Also a cute way to wear it is part your bangs to the side, dry and straighten then put mouse in your hair and it helps de frizz it and it looks cute and curly. For me it sometimes looks cute and curly, or ugly and frizzy. Sometimes if you just rewet the weird looking spots it goes nice. Good luck with your problem!! %26lt;33cassie

    Thick curly hair...help?!?

Ok so I have really thick, really curly hair and it's very hard to work with. So do you guys have any ideas of how to style my hair? Or do u know of any hair products that would make my hair look less big? Or just any tips, thanks!Thick curly hair...help?!?
Ouidad has the best stuff for crazy curls/big hair.Thick curly hair...help?!?
Been there, done that. Your hair will calm down as you age, but that's no help now.

Try a creme conditioner (Pantene or Frizz-Ease work for me) that you leave in. When you blow-dry your hair, use a large round brush and keep gentle tension on the hair. Blow dry from the roots to the ends and always point the dryer toward the ends to keep the cuticle down and keep it from frizzing.

Talk to a good stylist about what style is good for your hair and face shape. He/She may suggest thinning or layers if they will work for you.

One thing I don't recommend is a razor cut. That always made my hair frizzy and wilder.

    Good luck.
i have to say im truly jelous of your hair, dammn man id kill for curley hair!

wel u can pin up the top half of ur hair, leave the bottom part open and leave some curls out in the front, it will make ur hair look sassy and big which will look realli nice, (my aunt has curly hair aswel and she looks hot doing it) also, get a flower clip and just pin it to ONE side and leave the other, oh la la..u can use the tiny head bands on them aswel they look pretty nice with curly hair

actuali i cant say much because im still dredding for curley hair, i might just get it permed..hm maybe,,, :)

    Straightening curly hair...help!!?

i have a straightener already and it works great but with my curly hair i take forever to straighten it. what straighteners or straightening products or tools do you recomend??Straightening curly hair...help!!?
Get a shampoo and conditioner that straightens curly hair. It must say it on the bottle, like Mane and Tail. There are others too. Use a detangler and donj't rinse it out. Dry it and use a flat iron. I do this for my daughter and it works.

    I need curly hair help!?

I have very thick curly hair. I want to leave my hair curly, but when I do, it looks extremly messy and often curls itself up into a knot. More like many many knots. How can I keep my curls seperated and lessy messy looking? All I currently do, is wash, condition, comb and let air dry. I also want my curls to be more touchable and softer looking.I need curly hair help!?
I like naturallycurly.com and other like sites becuase it helped me understand my texture instead of just calling it unruly, wild, frizzy, poofy, unmanageble, nappy, afro etc. I found out I have 4A/B texture and why my hair does the things it does. I love the products advice and curly support too. And I HIGHLY recommend the CG method. You have to read the book Curly Girl by Lorraine Massey to fully understand it but I outlined it below:

    CG METHOD:

    1. No brushing

    2. Only comb hair with a wide tooth comb with conditioner in it.

    3. Do not wash every day. Opinion differs but it can anywhere from every other day to once every two weeks. Curly hair is easily dried out and needs natural oils to help curls clump. Focus on scalp when you do wash. Hair gets clean from run off.

    4. Eliminate sulfates/silicones from hair products, they build up in curly hair causing frizz.

    5. Curly hair eats up moisture. Deep treatments every two weeks, condition every time you shampoo or even co wash (wash hair with condish) and have a leave in condish every day.

    6. Twist/braids at night to avoid tangling.

    7. Apply gel after washing hair or a humectant, This prevents frizz.

    8. Plop hair with an micro fiber towel rather than terry cloth.

    8. Touch hair very little throughout the day.

    http://biracialhair.org

You don't need to be be biracial to try her technques.

Once your hair is well moisturized and conditioned, it should knot less. Also when curly hair knots easily, it is often a sign that you need trim. Take an inch off. Also braid your hair down before you go to bed to avoid tangles. Also henna helps, it has many great side effects. http://hennaforhair.comI need curly hair help!?
You need to put some kind of curl enhancing cream in your hair before letting it air dry. When I don't mine is a big frizz ball. I don't really like curl gel because it makes my curls too tight and crunchy. I prefer softer waves. Tresemme has some good stuff, that's what I use. After it's dry I don't dare touch it because it separates the waves into messy looking frizz, the strands start going in weird directions. LOL You have to take the less is more approach with curls and leave them alone; keeping your hands in your hair irritates curls and waves.
Wash with moisturizing conditioner, detangle with a WIDE-TOOTHED comb, and what i do is I use hair gel (LA LOOKS.. the clear gel, not the green or the yellow gel that they have) and putt hat in my hair after im done washing.. and then i use suave hair spray or Fructis Spray Gel.. and it keeps your curls in place and it won't frizz.
well since my hair is curly i have experiance

    USE LEAVE IN CONDITIONAR!

either garnier leave in which is in a green bottle, sold in walmart wtc.

or sunslik gel and cream twist

BOTH are soooo amazing i love them

    my hair:http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/image
i think maybe what i would do is put leave-in conditioner in, like the garnier fructis stuff, its what i use, its great. i love it.

and then i think you sould diffuse it. DONT brush it out after!

cuz then it will be really frizzy and ickkky.!

    hope i helped!
after you get out of the shower, put in curling mousse, styling gel or scrunching jelly! it should separate your curls! and at the end of your shower, turn on the cold water and let it soak your hair! this makes it shinier and softer!
I would suggest putting on some detangler while washing your hair and also some curl-enhancing spray on your curls.
use sunslik for curls shampoo and conditioner it is really good then after you done when you hair it damp use there cream that they have for curly hair too they are all in green bottle
    Hey!

So I have really curly hair. I use this product:

    http://fructis.garnier.ca/img/products/f

It's called Garnier Curl Relaxing Creme.

It doesn't ';relax the curls'; per se, but it keeps them looking fresh and bouncy and separate.

Just part your hair down the middle when it's wet, and pump (depending on how much hair you have) a dime size to a twoonie size and run your fingers through you hair. Do the same for the other side being sure to get the underside of the hair, and the back. Be sure to let the hair air dry, drying with a dryer gives a more 'deflated' and 'frizzier' look.

If you want a messier look, or are simply lazy to do this every morning, I sometimes put the product in my hair and let air try a few hours before bed. Be sure that hair is completely dry before sleeping. Then I wake up in the morning, tostle it around, and it looks good as new!

    G'day and hope this helps!

I Have Naturally Orange Curly Knotty Hair. People Tease Me and Say Im A Ranger (Short for Orangutan). Other Than Ignore Them Does Anybody Have Any Advice?Natural Knotty Curly Hair.... HELP!?
i have naturally curly hair too. if you want to keep it curly a good tip is to leave some conditioner in your hair after you wash and condition it. brush it out and put in a little hair gel and air dry or dry it with a cool setting on your hair dryer. if you want to straighten it, get a flatiron, you can get one for about 15 bucks at walmart. also i suggest a straightening cream like sunsilk's (its only about 3 or 4 bucks) wash your hair then towel dry and brush it out and apply the straightening cream ( about a dime size) the get two hairties and tie up the majority of your hair in one tie and straighten it out in small sections, then tie the straigtened hair up in the other tie to keep it out of your way. also, have you heard of the website naturallycurly.com? it has some great tips for us curly girls!Natural Knotty Curly Hair.... HELP!?
My hair is knotty and curly too, you just have to tame it.

Avoid brushing it because that makes it puffy and very ugly. If I ever just give up and brush it I usually tie it in a bun to hide it, or a loose ponytail.

Just use some gel or mousse and blowdry it to keep the curls tighter, it'll look really nice!
i think your hair sounds gorgeous. i think you should cut it shoulder length. and just use moose and products to sort of tame it but keep the curls.
you can straight it with straightening iron....and apply hair gel or something like that

you can put egg white on hair before head bath...it helps a little bit

I did this to my hair one day when I was felling really crappy. You know, one of those days where you stay in your P.J.s and growl at anybody who dares to try to drag you from your house.

Anyway, I let my hair get almost all the way dry then added a little leave in conditioner to control the frizzies and scrunched a little. I part my hair on the side and it kept falling in my face so I took a bobby pin and scooped my hair back towards my crown just on the bigger side of my part.

I never looked in the mirror that day but when my husband came home he thought it was sexy and now asks me to where my hair like that all the time. Go figure, right? Anyway, it's kind of messy and sexy and SOOO easy to do.

i want to try out a new look.

please give me aadvice and details on how to do it!!

    thx 4 your time.Curly hair help!!girls!!?
dont perm it just use aheat activated curling mouse and crimp it while hair fliped upside down and use a lil heat fom blow dryer on low dont comb or brush it make sure to get the mouse on the roots and near the edges keep the friz downCurly hair help!!girls!!?
Try Aussie curling mousse and lightly crunch your hair and flip it upside down while its damp to get the volume and waves. Make sure not to comb or brush your hair, as that will flatten it.
Curl your hair at night with a curling iron or just sleep on it wet and it might turn out wavy in the morning.

Don't take a shower in the morning and gel it I think that looks bad and DON'T get a perm.

    I have curly hair help?

i need a new hair style. before i start school. i usally keep it parted at the right and in a ponytail. any sugestionsI have curly hair help?
You are so lucky to have curly hair. Get it cut shorter and just let it go! It'll be less fuss for you.I have curly hair help?
Always condition and use hair serum to fight the frizz. The style you mentioned seems most appropriate . If you wanna splurge, get a L'Oreal Extenso Hair treatment. It will make curly hair wavy and wavy hair somewhat straight. Its great , it doesn't damage hair because no heat is used. Its available only in special salons.
go for rebonding .. its the most helpful.. i have the same problem as you :)
ooo try to do ringlets or you can take only your bangs and part it to the side then brush the rest back and only straighten the bangs i get a lot on that hairstyle =]!

Have you been using a lot of heat on your hair? I've heard of some people using too much heat that their hair gets heat damaged and no longer curls. End result, they have to cut off the heat damaged hair. Just one possible answer. If the ends aren't curling then try snipping them.

Tresemme Flawless Curl Mousse....it works wonders!!! Wavy/curly hair help?
Almost every line of hair products (herbal essences, pantene, john freida, dove, sunsilk, etc) have a whole bunch of products for curly hair or for keeping hair curled. I think probably the majority of these products are for curly hair as opposed to other hair types. Just go to your local drugstore and you'll be bound to find something that's right for you.
Herbal Essences, Coconut and Hawaiian Hibiscus cond. and shampoo. (the blue one basically) and Charles Worthington Curls (拢1.30 tescos) and waves leave in conditoner, also use a leave in hair spray (de-knot). It works for me. As I have really bad ringlets lool.
Dangerously Straight Mousse from Herbal Essences is good.

Short curly hair ?help im trying new look?

ok im light skinned and i have short curly hair that i think looks good but do u think that with my face shape (oval kinda full)and my skin color it will look good

and also do u have any tips on how to make it look greatShort curly hair ?help im trying new look?
First off I personally think without seeing your hair, I would keep it short due to the fact you have a full oval shape. A lot of times if you have a full oval you want more height to make your face seem a little slimmer. Even thought you are light skinned it is approaching summer time and you will get a little tanner naturaly, so I suggest putting some nice fine highlights in your hair just to sproose it up a bit for the changing of the season. And above all make sure you are using the correct products for your curly hair. There is no point trying to fight your natural curls, work with them and ambrace what the beauty of them.

Um you need to take a shower and when you do use lots of conditioner after that put any kind of frizz cream in ure hair ( John Frieda, Sunsilk, fructised) Those are good 1s the best is sunsilk. Don't blow dry ure hair let it air dry. Ok then when it is dry it should be curly no frizz and gorgeouse!! :)

Hey, we have the same hair type! I recently found a product called Ouidad and have fallen in love with it! I recommend the intense conditioner, pomade, Shine Glaze, and Moisturizing Gel. The website (www.ouidad.com) also has a test/series of questions that helps you narrow down the products best for you.

If you haven't already, I would also suggest finding styles that suit you- twists, flat twists, cornrows, wet-set style, etc which would cut down on the daily maintenance and possible damage. Also, for natural hair especially, regular trips to the salon are key- trims, hot oil treatments (which you can also do yourself) help to minimize frizz. Color and/or overheating (flat ironing, etc) can also cause damage-related frizz so you'll want to ensure that it's really healthy.

The winter is coming so you'll definitely want to keep your hair moisturized with a good/thick conditioner too as it's likely to get especially dry during these months. Hope this helps!
Check out this website: It has a lot of info on products you can use on your hair. http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types

I am from the Caribbean though, and hair like yours should just be left loose and free.. Show off the curls...especially if you do not want to use a chemical relaxer.

Other than that, all I can suggest is moisturizer, a light hair gel and a really strong brush.

    Good luck.

    Thick curly hair... help!!!?

alright, so i have thick curly and FRIZZY hair. i need to find a product that will help reduce friz. anyone know anything that works good that i could get in Portland, OR?Thick curly hair... help!!!?
OK like I just went to target a little while ago and my mom bought this frizz spray cause she has frizzy hair and then she went in another store and while she was in that store I sprayed Aussie Sydney smooth stuff and like a minute later my hair was like 20 times less frizzy I was omg. Yeah and it is only like three bucks! So I am going to buy it and I think that this stuff will work great for you!!Thick curly hair... help!!!?
any leave in conditioner works good. They also have leave in cream conditioners (it almost looks like hand lotion) use it on your hair..stay away from hair spray and if you straighten you hair give it a couple weeks free from the heat! I am in canada so im not sure if the same products would be there. Pantene,Fructis, and treseme have really good leave in conditioners!
    VO5 frizz defense cream stuff.

it works rly rly good on frizz.

you can get it at walmart or a drugstore.
get john friedas frizze easzee it workss rele go0d i use it myself

    THIN CURLY HAIR HELP!!!?

My sister also has very curly hair but it's extremely thin and she wants to know what she can use to make it look thick and not thin.

She already uses Garneir and pantene mooses but she wants something else that would make it look natural.

    HELP PLEASE!!!THIN CURLY HAIR HELP!!!?
try using ion volumizing shampoo..from sally beauty supply..it makes hair thicker and gives volumeTHIN CURLY HAIR HELP!!!?
since she has thin hair she shouldn't have too short layers or it will seem even thinner

she should keep using volumizing products and a volumizing shampoo

if she uses an iron to properly curl her hair or straighten it, she should use a hair protectant or it will burn her hair, making it much more work for her later

she could also get hair extensions
use volumizing shampoos and sprays/hair sprays. also the best way to help thin hair look thicker is extensions. clip in ones are great for this they are not expensive, your sister could get the same colour as her hair and the same length then its instant thickness. get 100% human hair ones so she can curl them to match her hair texture.
She needs to get some hair pieces. That is what all the stars do to give them thick luscious hair.

  • EXTREAMLY curly hair. help?!?

i have extremely thick, curly hair, and i straighten it almost every day with a chi, but it takes awhile. i dont want to get it chemically straightened. and ive been looking into relaxers but i am hesitant because im not sure if i have the right hair type for that. any opinions or suggestions on relaxers for my hair type?EXTREAMLY curly hair. help?!?
you should def. get your hair relaxed because i had a friend with super curly hair and when she straightened her hair it would look like she got electrocuted and it was just so horrible looking but after she got it relaxed, she still had her curls but when she straightened her hair, it looked gorgeous and looked like she didn't have curly hair whatsoever.

go to a professional and get it done, you'll get the best results from that.

good luck :)!EXTREAMLY curly hair. help?!?
Do you have a pic? Because this sounds like my hair.
usually relaxers are for african american people,

but it makes their hair kinky,

chemically straightening it is your best bet
you should learn how to embrace your curls, because straightening it every day and relaxing it is really damaging and bad for your hair.

    www.naturallycurly.com best site ever!
Go to a salon and ask them they know best. You could call but it would be better to go because they can see your hair texture and what strength you'd need.
embrace your curls im sure you look good with them.
spit on it then soak it in milk lol ok works!!

ps dont forget the horse radish and mayo!!
    embrace the curl (:

    For curly hair.. HELP!!!!!?

hi if i dont put any product on my hair, my curls would look frizzy and ugly. but if i do put product, it looks like a celeb. The problem is, which one shal i use? moose, cream, serum, ext. k thanksFor curly hair.. HELP!!!!!?
I HATE this problem. I've finally found several good products. The Frizz-ease by John Frieda series works well, but can be expensive. What I've found works well(and isn't so expensive) is washing and conditioning hair with shampoo and conditioner specific for de-frizzing and smoothing. I've been putting serum(aussie brand de-frizz stuff, can't remember the specific name) on and then mousse(thermasilk curling mouse) over it. Recently I've heard that you should put hte mousse on first before the serum, which I've tried, and it seems to work a little better. I'd suggest trying both ways. For curly hair.. HELP!!!!!?
Biosilk! It is a serum, you can put a little on wet hair. I sometimes add a little to my gel, just a drop or two. I know it gets my hair in great condition and if I don't use it I sometimes wonder what my hair is lacking and I go back to it.
moose for the love of god if you can find it use it. i have the same deal i use pantene curls conditioner, garnier squenchy stuff, and or this awsome curly got-2-be gel that puts sparkels in it. keep hair in a towl for a bit after a shower majorly reduces firz! but moose is great, and id use it any day!
For frizzy hair you shoud use a hair gel or a bedhead frizz control.
    what ever you like best
    WHATEVER WORKS THE BEST!

What is the best way to remove tangles from matted hair. I'm trying leave in conditioner..Not working so well. A friend suggests that I use mayonnaise. Any other ideas or products that you like? ThanksMatted curly hair... HELP me remove....?
use a deep conditioning mask or treatment, put on a plastic cap and let sit for 15 minutes ( with heat would be best)

then take a large paddle brush or a wide tooth comb and gently brush it out, this may take some time but be patient. it will come out eventuallyMatted curly hair... HELP me remove....?
you could het a relaxer. it really helps. it will detangle your hair and make it nice and straight.
Try washing with a moisturizing shapoo then using the same conditioner. I like Pantene.

Then use olive oil. Let it sit...

Then wash %26amp; condition again this time combing out the tangles.

Works for me when it gets really bad. I have really curly, frizzy hair.
First shampoo, and wash out conditioner. Then use finger to part hair to oil the hair nearest the scalp. Rub a index finder dab of oil to hair and rub on the tip of hair and start the combing or pick combing. After that rub the hair/massage it, then put the leave in conditioner/mayonaise or crown royal in for the styling process. Oil/grease hair every other day to maintain mositure.

    Yucky Curly Hair Help!?

i recently got my hair layered, my hair had abit of a wavealready in it but ever since it was layered it has become really curly and uncontrolable, it's not thick but it's just gone big. also my fringe used to be flat ever since the fringe was layered too it has way too much volume. anyone got any ideas to solve my problem and any hair products you recommend for my hair? thanksYucky Curly Hair Help!?
I too have crazy curly hair!! it's hell. If it is long enough to tie back; do so when you have just washed it, I do use straigtheners but they really dry your hair out. So make sure you have a good heat spray on first; i have found polka dot straight is really good for this. Frizz ease serum is also very good, smooth a few drops into your hands then rub over your hair when you have styled it. Try using the anti frizz shampoo's and conditioners as well each time you wash your hair.It will get easier to control over the next few weeks, so hang on in there! don't go and get it cut any shorter or you will really struggle. Hope this helps.Yucky Curly Hair Help!?
Try blow drying your hair straight using a large round brush, or using a straightning iron, this will help to flatten your hair, and reduce the curl. Try using Cristalli shine serum (specially made for using with hair straighteners), from hairhouse warehouse, or pantene smoothing lotion. Any good haircare shop should be able to help with products.

Also, try washing your hair at night, and putting it into small plaits/ braids with a little product and undoing these in the morning for controlled curls.

Otherwise I agree with using a mousse designed for curly hair, try putting in into wet hair and dry with a hair dryer while scrunching hair in your hand.
Use Matrix's Sleek Look or Paul Mitchells Super Skinny line of product They both are reasonably priced and work to control curl and frizz.
I have layered curly hair too.You should use mousse and gel for curly hair and put a cream.
Curly hair is beautiful! I would kill for it! What i would recommend is to use some sleeking serum stuff on your fringe and straighten it daily, it will soon do as it's told! For the back of your hair use a curl mousse or curl taming shampoo, you will look beautiful!
I have big hair with curl natually. I use jell and mousse to bring out the curl and tame the ';big look.'; I would grow your hair out in the mean time and aventually cut your hair to the same length once again. Another idea is to go to your stylist and ask for suggestions. Do not worry about hurting their feelings, their goal is to make you look and feel your best. Hope this helps.

    Frizzy/curly hair help?

what can i use to tame itFrizzy/curly hair help?
Well you should never use a brush on your hair if it's curly. Use a wide toothed comb on it and that should do the job. If you go to kmart or something then you can find lines of product for hair like sunsilk or john freida(sp?) then there should be something called frizz serum or something along those lines. I hope this helped! good luck with your hair (:Frizzy/curly hair help?
I have extremely curly hair that likes to frizz at the first hint of humidity. What I do to tame it is deep condition 2-3x a week. When I get out of the shower, I blot it dry and use Infusium 23 Repair(ologie) Leave in Treatment. I use a good bit of that. Then I use a leave in conditioning creme, like Garnier Fructis creme. A good, flexible, alcohol free hair gel would probably do the trick too. Basically, conditioning my hair and making sure its hydrated is key for me. Hopefully it will work for you too!
I wash my hair with Pantene Pro-V shampoo for curly hair. Then I condition with the matching conditioner. When I get out of the shower I squeeze the water out of my hair, then I turn my head upside down and spray Garnier Fruitese curl gel all over my head. Then with my head still upside down I scrunch my hair. Then I lightly pull my hair back and twist the tail into a bun and put a large scrunchie over the bun to hold in place. Then when it dries I have lovely curls.
alrighttttt i have the curliest hair. my friends make fun of me haha. the cheap gel at target or walgreens callled la bella spiking gel is so strong and turns my frizz to curls. the gel eliminates frizz and captures my curls. it lasts all day. dont associate efficiency with expense. it is like 3 bucks for a rather large bottle but i love it. other good products are garnier fructis surf hair, and frizz buster. frizz buster comes in a semi-cylindrical bottle with purple cap. it is 10 dollars but it is amazing. hope i was a help.
while its still wet atfer you get out of the shower use a spray ( but sunslik its in a clear white bottle ) then atfer you blow dry it use a spray gel or a very strong spray to tame it.

OMG!! I always used to use hair spray to hold it in place, but it looked soooo oily, so I got this Dove Smoothing Frizz Control cream and it works SOOO good, and looks so much cleaner! After about a minute, it doesnt even look like you put anything on it! It works great with your hair up and down too, so it doesn't poof up!

Go to your hairdresser. Or use a really good conditioner. Put on leave in conditioner. Use hair serum.

lol. just throwing ideas out, but dont use shampoo because it strips all the moisture out from your hair. use shampoo like maybe once a week. also when you wash your hair use cold water because it helps control the frizz. hot water dries your scalp.
Paul Mitchell Sculpting Foam works GREAT i love it, it makes my curls bouncy and not frizzy with no ';crunchy'; feeling to it!!! It smells like coconut too!! :):) You can find small bottles of it in Trade Secret if you want to try it before getting the large size :)

I didn't realize I had curly hair til I was 22. It's been five years since, and I can tell that whatever advice people tell you about keeping your hair curly, 90% of the time it won't work for you. You just have to be willing to try everyone's advice and figure out what works. That being said here's what works for me:

    1) Before I wash my hair, I brush it (not comb), just to get all the tangles out and distribute what oil is there more evenly.

    2) Stop washing your hair with shampoo. If your scalp gets oily, only wash the scalp. You can shampoo the rest of your hair once every couple of weeks. But I avoid it. Curly hair is porous and dry, and shampoo strips it of any moisture or oil it's got.

    3) Condition heavily. Don't rinse it out.

    4) Avoid putting leave-in conditioner into dry hair. It doesn't put any moisture in, it just gucks it up. Look at this way: what's better, putting lotion on dry skin or on skin that's still moist and plump from the shower?

    5) Don't blow dry. Wind is your enemy. It separates your curls. If it's windy, I cover or pull back my hair so it doesn't get frizzy.

    6) If I'm washing my hair in the morning, I scrunch my hair dry in a towel (never rub!). Then I apply a gel or spray gel (not mousse) that contains PVP or PVP co-polymer. I like Garnier Fructis's (http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/cvs/gateway/de

    7) Actually I never use gel anymore, because I noticed all products work well the first day, but then my hair looks like crap the second day, and I don't have time to wash my hair that often. Which brings me to my most unconventional piece of advice...

    8) Wash your hair at night and sleep on it wet with a towel draped over the pillow. No gel or mousse. The reason this works is that the frizz dies down over night, and something about the lack of gravity keeps it from frizzing up too much in the first place. I swear this works wonders for me. Yeah, occasionally, I get a weird cowlick, but it works 95% of the time.

    9) Lastly, try to get a haircut that emphasizes your curls. You may have to go shorter or longer. The hair on the crown of my head has to be a shorter, face-framing layer for the curl to show (otherwise there's too much weight on it). I've got layers all over and it works really well.

    Good Luck!
Well what exactly do you want the product to do? Do you want it to define the curls? Frederick Fekkai has an amazing curl cream that really defines the curls, eliminates frizz, but doesn't dry stiff or sticky. Also, you can try any styling gel, but they tend to make your hair a little stiff if you use too much. I've never really liked mouse for curly hair.
i think if your just going for a ponytail you should put pink oil in it comb it and slick that sucker back

BRAZILIAN HAIR TREATMENT. its good for your hair, and it straightens it. its like a japanese straightening perm, but the keratin protein in it fills in the cuticles in your hair and adds shine and silkyness. I had really thick and wavy hair and now its super manageable and i love it. its a little expensive, but definetley worth it.

if you just want a good flat iron, chi ceramic flat iron. i love it. and it doesnt burn your hair. (ceramic irons dont burn as much)

use kerasaste protection creme before flat ironing/blow drying
it seems to me like u have a 2 inch thick straightener, try going for a one inch flat iron instead. preferably a ceramic plated one because it wont burn your hair as much and it spread the heat out evenly throughout the plate, it also gives u a shinier finish on your hair. dont forget to use a heat protectant and/or hair serum :) hope this helps
my friend has the same problem. he always used his sisters which was like i think around the size of a ruler.

I don't think you should do something like that. It may damage or mess up your hair. I believe if you go to a hair salon or a hair store you can buy a knife tool that can shed layers. I have one and I cut my own layers and it works really well. I'm sorry I don't have a picture or what the name of it is. I hope I helped though.
I hope your ready to completely mess up your hair.

ok heres what you do. first mix sunsilk captivating curls creme and frizz-ease: downplay volume reducer and massage through wet hair starting at the roots. then use moose from any brand as long as its for curls. then, using a de-fuser, blow dry your hair. then i suggest spraying hair spray to make sure you tame any frizz. for shampoo and conditioners, I use fructis hydra curls shampoo and fructis length andstrengthh conditioner ( irecommendd that since you damaged your hair by straightening it). I have the same problem as you do and i repeat this everyday. It may seem like a lot of work, but trust me honey, your hair looks great the entire day.
i have frizzy hair as well and i use Super Skinny Serum by Paul Mitchell and its awesome...it makes my hair look much smoother and helps take out the frizz...hope i helped..=)

    Dry afro curly hair! Help!?

I have biracial curly afro hair and it is really dry and doesn't look like it's growing that good! I don't know what to do! I wash it with moisturizing conditioner about everyday, and moisturize it everyday and only shampoo and deep condition about once a week to once every two weeks with a moisturizing shampoo.

I make sure I don't use alcohol or petroleum/latum or mineral oil but nothing seems to be working and my hair feels really dry, what do I do ?Dry afro curly hair! Help!?
You first problem is that you wash your hair everyday. With dry afro curly hair you wash your hair with shampoo once a week. You can condition your hair everyday though. Make sure to you a leave in conditioner when you wet your hair. Also, place some jojoba oil or olive oil in your hair every night. Wrap it with a head scarf or a wave cap to keep the moisture in.

You hair is indeed growing. What is happening is that the ends are probably breaking off because your hair is damaged from all the washing. Curly hair will often not look like it is growing because it is curly.

Also, to lock in more moisture, put some jojoba oil or olive oil in your hair after conditioning. Turn the shower on hot and let the steam help to push the oil into your hair for 10 minutes. That will leave your hair soft and with a great shine. Also, you must realize that part of the dry feeling could simply be the texture of your hair. If all else fails, get a chemical texturizer/relaxer to get your hair looking how you want it to.Dry afro curly hair! Help!?
You should not wash your hair daily. Two times weekly is sufficient. The Lord didn't create African hair to be maintained like that. Our hair is very dry by nature. Our scalp does not emit a high level of oil, like non-African people. Washing daily robs our hair of the needed oils. Because it is dry, it doesn't hold dirt and odor easily like other hair. You should consider using products made for Afro-Biracial hair. There are several: MixedChicks.com, Treasured Locks.com and BlendedBeauty.com. Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding products were also made for your texture of hair.
Stop washing it every day. African American hair isn't made for that... Washing it so frequently depletes the hair of its natural oils. Take it down to every other day, at least.

It sounds like you're doing all the right things otherwise by using a moisturizing conditioner and no mineral oil. Don't forget to use a wide tooth comb instead of a smaller one when grooming.

Curly hair help. New cut, style and color? pics included?

Ok, here is the problem. I have long curly hair that I straighten on occasion. I use biosilk and a hot iron like the chi. The highlighted parts of hair has started to break off ( I have not highlighted my hair for 6 months now) and the re growth is only 3 to 4 inches long. I don't know what's in for curly hair ( cuts and styles) that can also be straightened and still look good. I am also sick of the color, though natural, I want to try something new. I don't want to have someone else do my hair because no matter where I go or how much I am charged I am not happy with results. They always jack up my hair. Here are a few pics of my hair, please help me with this. Thanks in advance!

You have really pretty curls. My hair is naturally frizzy and i use loads of product to weigh it down so its curly. I know what you are talking about with people ruining your hair. One thing I learned to do is ask a person how comfortable they are cutting curly hair first , it draws up so much. The truth is the best person to cut my hair happened to be black. The lady i go to knows how overly curly hair reacts when you cut it. My advice go in knowing your style. Don't let people influence your choice when you are in the chair. That is when i make my biggest mistakeCurly hair help. New cut, style and color? pics included?
If you are in LA, go to Trilogy hair salon in the valley. And use Mixed Chicks products to tame frizz.
i have medium length curly hair, and alot of times when i would go get it cut it ended up poofy. i really like my hair now after getting a new type of haircut. i've started getting short layers starting at my chin and it adds curl and bounce to my hair and it looks good when straightened so that might work for you too! good luck!
First you need to deep condition your hair ( make sure it has protein in it so your hair stops breaking off). I always look for someone with the same type of hair as mine when I get it cut. No matter what they say not everyone can cut curly hair. If you are sick of coloring it try a glaze. Basically it's something thats going to just brighten your hair, not color it. You could also get a clear shine put on. Neither of these are damaging to your hair and there is no up keep on them. You do them when you want and there is no line when your hair grows in because it's not changing the color of your hair. Hope this helps a little! By the way curly hair with long layers is the look now.
well if u are sick of the color dye it burgundy (spelling?) if u dont know wat that color is, just go to the salon and ask to see it and straighten it and cut it up to ur shoulders u will look grate! this is exactly wat happened to my sister. and add some layers or just side swept bangs!

Hey, I totally understand why you'd want some awesome curls like that. The easiest way I know how to do it would be to use a 2-in-1 flat iron / curling iron. First straighten and then spiral your hair down into the curls. I suggest this 2-in-1 by Hot Tools, it makes it so much easier to do your hair when you only have to use one tool. (Link Below)

I have really curly hair too.

To get rid of the frizz, you should use hair mousse.

After coming out of the shower, brush your hair out. (Or brush it out before you go in so that it doesn't get damaged when it's wet)

Then apply the mousse, you'll need to put in quite a fair bit if your hair gets frizzy easily. Then blowdry, scrunching and fluffing you hair as you go, until dry.

You can finish with hairspray (although I wouldn't recommend using it every day).

I do this, and people always comment on how great my hair looks. Only thing is, don't sleep with it in every night, or it might get damaged after a long period of time. Always try to sleep with clean hair.

And also, this can make your hair feel hard, but don't worry it will look good and you can always put less in if you want it softer.

Here's what I use, but there are plently of hair mousses in stores everywhere.

You won't have any problem with wearing your hair down.

I hear ya! I have really curly hair, too. I use a gel like John Freida and the trick is to not comb it thru your hair. What you want to do is squeeze some into the palm of your hand and rub it with the other hand. Then you grab pieces of your hair and pull the gel through piece by piece. After you do your whole head, leave it to dry. Once it's dry, you do a touch up in the same way, but use a little gel at a time so it doesn't look clumpy. Good luck!

i use Redken Fresh Curls creme. it's great! it does make your curls have shape, but it controls frizz pretty well, keeps hair soft, and doesn't make your hair big and poufy.

or i used to use this spray called Effex or something..it's in a yellow spray bottle with a purple top. it used to sort of ';weigh'; my hair down and not define the curls as much. it dries kinda crunchy though and can get a bit sticky if you get the spray on your neck or something. good luck though!
Biosilk shines and softens the curls and I use Garnier Fructis mousse for my curls. Check it out...
My recommendations would be to use a curl product like Making Waves gel by Gram Webb, mixed with a silk like Biosilk or Supper Skinny ( Paul Mitchell) and then diffused. Make sure that your using a Shampoo and Conditioner for curly hair. Professional Salon Quality is the way to go. The Gram Webb line has a whole line of Making Waves. You can also use Shaping Creme Wax by Biolage to mix in with your Making Waves gel and silk cocktail. This is what I use in my hair because I don't like it hard or crunchy.
I suggest trying Anti-frizz for your hair so it doesn't get as frizzy. You could try getting your hair permanently straightened. Although I don't recommend that unless it's a desperate situation. You could try getting your hair thinned so that it isn't as thick which might reduce volume.
my *** is a good product
I love the ';just came out of the shower'; look too :)

I use Garnier Fructisse Leave In conditioner right when I get out of the shower then I wait about 15-20 mins so that my hair isn't dripping but it's still pretty damp. Don't comb your hair because then the curls look all flat and weird. Then I use mousse and I scrunch it in my hair (I use voluminizing gel on the front but that's because my hair is flat on top). Make sure the mousse you get says it will give you the wet look on the bottle because some mousses don't. Then I straighten my bangs and hair spray the whole thing :)

    Curly hair help please!!?

    Ok

I have naturaly really curly like afro hair, its quite good condition i think its dyed and has layers.

Im quite good at getting it blow dryed straight and then i use the straightening irons but after maybe 3-4 minuites my ends start flicking outward randomly and i cant get them down again,When i straighten my hair i can get the roots totaly flat so thats not the problem.

    but what is ?

and also whats a good product that will flatten them down?

and could it just be because of my layers :/

    Thankyou!!xCurly hair help please!!?
If your layers are really short that could be the reason.

You could try curling the ends inward.Or before your hair starts flipping out you could use hair to help it stay put. :) hope that helpsCurly hair help please!!?
Your layers could be the problem. Do you use a heat protector spray before you use the straighteners, that can help. I use a good one called vavoom gold heat by matrix, I got it at the hairdressers
Use ';By Framesi WIO STRAIT BALM'; before straightening your hair, it helps it. Also when you blow dry it blow dry down.. Like start at your roots and work down on your hair it gets straighter.
you probably just have damaged ends, when the last time you get a trim? If recent then it must just be that your hair is too resistant to the temporary straightening.
Gotta put Mixed Chicks products on the list. Stuff is great. You can use their wash and go system.

    Shampoo

    Detangle with the deep conditioner

Work the leave in throughout wet hair

    Air dry.

    P.S. don't shampoo too often.

Layers dont help the hair lie very well when straight.

Get your ends trimmed, and see if this helps.

Dont use too much product, as this can weigh the hair down.

If your hair is afro, or similar in texture, why dont you try a permanent, or semi relaxer.
You do probably have split ends to get a quick trim and then staighten your hair with a wide straightening iron (specifically for OUR type of hair) then use a straightening spray such as VO5 straightening spray which you can find almost anywhere e.g. argos pharmacies and chemists.

    Hope i helped :)

    Curly Hair..help pleasee :)?

I have like very straight hair and they only way i can kindof make it look good curled it to put a crapload of hairspray in it and it makes it all stiff and hard..

I want to have big bouncy curles and i need hairspray that holds it not makes it incredibly stiff.

    Any suggestions?Curly Hair..help pleasee :)?
aussie is really good. ! try that trust me it works, and smells really good.Curly Hair..help pleasee :)?
One of my friends also had this problem so she gets her hair twist permed (which is a looser perm) and it forms these great big curls, and looks amazing. But if you just want a hairspray then I can't helpp as I don't know of any hairspray that doesn't make hair stiff sorry.
I have naturally crazy curly hair, and I wish it was wavy or something because it's so hard to deal with :P the curls are so tight and they kill to brush!
Get a body wave with the biggest rods available.
have you tried a ghd straight iron? or old fashion hot rollers?

No better solution exists in the market than the Segals Solutions. See what they have inside their products - Inositol, Roobois Extract, Saw Palmetto, Chamomile Extract, Green Tea, Gingko Biloba, Niacin, Polysorbate 80, Vitamin E, Vitamin B5, Rosemary Extract, HempSeed Oil, Capsicum %26amp; Willowherb Extract, Aloe Vera, Horsetail Extract, Nettle Extract, Comfrey Extract, Jojoba Oil, Budrock Root Extract, Pygeum Extract, Shea Butter %26amp; Hydrolysed Wheat Protein!

Dare to compare with any other product in India. None other has all this incredible stuff, meant for strong, healthy hair - right from the roots. Others (incl. Pantene, L'Oreal, Dove, H %26amp; S, Wella, etc.) all have the bad stuff that cause and even aggravate hair loss i.e sulfates, chlorides, amines, etc etc. Go for the Segals Advanced Hair Supplement, Advanced Scalp Formula, Segals Advanced Thinning Hair Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner. Safe, fast results. These r now available in India. Search google for 'Segals hair supplement india'

If u get any other product with most or all of the above ingredients, buy it!

YES, btw, Segals Solutions is recommended by members of the Intl.Association of Trichologists (IAT)
Change of Texture Could be a result of two things...

#1. Severe Damage (STRAIGHTENING YOUR HAIR TO MUCH)

    OoOOOOoor

    #2. Every 7 years or so a persons hair ';changes';

could be the texture %26amp; often for children the color

(heard of blonde babys growing up brunette?...) etc.

    Thinning...is a COMPLETLEY different subject.

#1. Malnutrition (You said you've been loosing weight!)

    #2. Stress/Anxiety

    #3. Oral Contreseptive symptom...(Birth control)

#4. OOooooOor you could be sick %26amp;%26amp; you should just go

check things out with a doc.

I went through the same thing (I'm mixed) and all of a sudden my hair

thinned out %26amp; it ended up being a combination of almost all of

the things i mentioned. Stay healthy, and go natural for a tad if you're

    into straightening.

Use hair mousse on wet hair to get your curls back. Eat healthy.

Just thought this might interest ya鈥檒l. I鈥檓 Priya Bedi just helping Vogue with their SMO initiative.
    yes it is possible.

I guess its because of lack of nutrients.

eat healthy and good amount like 3 big meals or 6 snacks a day and lots of tea and water.

invest in a dove shampoo or aussie for ';damage control';.

and cut off the ends... or cut it short so it can start fresh
just eat all the nutrients you should get, alot of water, and here's a trick, dont brush your hair after you shower, do it while you shower.
usually with curly hair, the longer you let it grow, the more the curls stretch and get weighted down. try getting a trim.
I don't know how old you are.....might be hormonal change....Different meds?....Get your thyroid checked ...try eating a balanced diet....protein, carbs, no junk... lots of protien.... good luck.........:)
Use good quality shampoos or cut your hair short to make a new beginning
