Try plopping over night (putting your hair up in a sort of turban).

Here are some basic tips for curly hair that you might find helpful:

*Try to find a stylist who knows how to work with curly hair. You can find ratings by region here: http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlsalons

*Don't shampoo every day.

*Comb conditioner through hair in the shower.

*Never use a brush, only a comb, or better yet fingers, when wet.

*Apply styling products to dripping wet hair. Scrunch or twirl hair to achieve desired shape.

*Use styling products suited for your hair type. Don鈥檛 know yours? http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types

*Avoid terrycloth towels; use microfiber or t-shirts instead.

*Air dry or use a diffuser with your blowdryer.

*Don't touch your hair while it鈥檚 drying.

It's easy to use a diffuser incorrectly. What you should do is press a section of hair to your hair without turning on the blowdryer. Then turn the dryer on. Press the cool shot if your head gets too warm. This will prevent frizz/poofiness.

For specific products for your hair type you might want to explore the forums at:

There you can find others with the same hair type and try out some of their favorite products. So that鈥檚 really useful.

Lastly, it has made my hair so much better since I started the curly girl method! I used to almost never wear it down (it was a frizz/poof ball), but now I have pretty, shiny curls. ~:) It鈥檚 pretty radical鈥攏o sulfates (shampoo) or silicones鈥攂ut it鈥檚 so great for curly hair. i used to have that problem but i use sunsilk products they're amazing !

and when i go to bed i usually put my hair up in a bun or pony tail so its not crazy when i wake up

as for a diffuser when i use it i dont completely dry my hair i flip my head over and just go over it for a few minutes while scrunching it

hope this helped !
put it in little buns when its wet before bed and let it dry naturally, or curl some bits in the morining to just make it a little bit more curly x

I use a straightening balm while my hair is still a bit wet then clip it up. When i go to bed i try to keep my hair curled under my head.

In the morning ill just run some mousse through it and the curls become more defined.
try biosilk products,

i personally think they were awesome.

also, try putting some mousse in your hair and then blow drying it.
