Curly hair help?

I have really curly hair. But i can't do anything with it, when it's down, it's about 4 inches past my shoulder, i use products to make it look good, but my only problem is that im bored with it. It's too thick, so when i straighten it, it looks REALLY bad. I was thinking about getting side bangs? would that work at all with curly hair? i mean, i would straighten it for sure, but, im just sooo BORED with my hair. Any suggestions would help. any new hairstyles or even cuts. ThanksCurly hair help?
My first question to you is...do you have layers or is your hair one length? If it is one length, try adding some LONG layers (starting at your chin) and see how that works. I have natural curly hair and I went to get a trim and ended up with a super short, layered cut (not my normal stylist). I am not able to wear my hair curly so I have to straighten it everyday. But when my hair was long (a little longer than yours) I would use Matrix memory gel and with the long layers I had, it would look great down or tucked behind my ears. I would also but it into a loose ponytail (about middle of my head) and use a claw clip and kinda scrunch it to make it fuller and I always got compliments on how professional and great it looked. I hope I have helped you.Curly hair help?
use some relaxer, and blow brush dry, making sure you do not use too much hairspray, or moose!!!

get a lil heavier on the condisioner while your in shower... it will help with this process!!
A good straightener will make it look great! But if you want a curly look that is less frizzy and thicker locks, then go to the store and buy some sea salt. Mix about 3/4 cup with 2 cups of hot water...shake really well, then spray it in your dry hair...scrunch it up a bit, and you'll love it!
four inches past your shoulders?

Lucky!

Mine is one inch past my shoulders.

Side bangs would look nice.

I got mine tapered and to my nose.

Then straighten it.

Well, bye!
Alright I feel for ya. My hair is the same length and thick, coarse, and curly too.

I HATE putting product in it, b/c I am slightly OCD about clean hair and product just weighs my hair down.

But, here is a site with some cut/style options for curly hair

I have side bangs that I just comb and pin to the side when I get out of the shower. This helps them dry straight.

I would say trim it and style it to something that will keep you busy for a while!

Good Luck
you shold try putting gel and hairspray in it to make it hold. but if u want u can also but mouse in it. but if your gonna get side bangs you should but ur hair half up and half down with ur bangs out it looks really nice like that
TRY USING SIDE SWOOP BANGS AND GET IT PROFESSIONALLY STRAIGHTENED!!!
