Curly hair...HELP!!!?

For the past two years i have been straightening my hair, because i thought i didn't like my curls. Now i think my hair is dead and fried beacuse it isnt growing at all, its been as long as my shoulders for about two years now. I wish it would b longer, or at least grow some. Any tips or products i can use? (its really thick and course)Curly hair...HELP!!!?
I also have really thick, curly hair... if you're going to straighten it, use some sort of a 'rescue' shampoo... I don't know the name, but you've seen it on TV. Cut your hair an inch or two to get rid of split ends. Once it starts growing again, it'll look longer and healthier.

If you're really going to straighten your hair for a long time and every day, I would suggest cutting it short. Not a pixie persay, but pretty short. It makes it so much faster to straighten and showering is faster, too. I don't even have to use conditioner since I cut it. At least let your stylist thin it out or do layers- the less hair you have to work with, the easier it is and the more devoted you'll be to it.

Also, don't blow dry your hair at all if you don't have to. Just let it air dry naturally, and if you have to blow dry, use a diffuser. You probably know this, though...Curly hair...HELP!!!?
Wow, that's really bad damage to your hair. Well to begin with, you need to get a trim and cut your dead ends. Your hair will be shorter but trust me, it helps your hair grow much faster. If you still want to keep on straightening your hair, ALWAYS make sure to use Tresseme heat protection spray before you straighten your hair. Hope this helps :)
There are supplements you can take, off the top of my head right now I cannot remember the names. But if you go into a natural supplement store and ask the staff what you can take they can advise. I did this before and not only did my hair grow, I felt better overall!
Great info hun,.
