Curly Hair Help?

I have naturally curly hair but it's very frizzy at most times, except when I let it air dry after swimming in a pool or at the beach. That's the only time I have near perfect curls. I don't know why the same thing doesn't happen when I get out of the shower. Does anyone have any suggestions to what it might be that is the difference for my hair? And how can I achieve the non-frizzy swimming curls every day?Curly Hair Help?
I have the same kind of hair. I recently read an article that said to not comb or brush the hair after a shower. Run the conditioner thru and rinse.... but only use your fingers. Dab your hair dry with a towel and let curls go where they want. It has worked wonders for me. I still use product..like mousse. But I no longer pick or comb the curls. Good Luck!!Curly Hair Help?
Try this product. It's called BEACH BLONDE OCEAN WAVES TEXTURIZING STYLER SEA SPRAY by JOHN FRIEDA. It is not just for blond hair, that is just the product line name. You can use it on wet or dry hair. It makes my curly, frizzy hair look so awesome, with ringlets but like bedhead sort of with nooooo frizz. No other product works like this I promise you. It has been discontinued but you can find it on ebay still. Look for it there. Good luck.
I struggled with the same problem for years. However, I have finally found a solution to the frizzy hair problem.

Here are the steps to take to get nonfrizzy curly hair:

1. ALWAYS use a conditioner...any of the Pantene conditioners work well.

2. After combing out your hair with a wide-toothed comb use hair gel (LA Looks #8 in the green bottle). After applying the gel, comb it out again. Then, dry your hair a little by scrunching it in a towel.

3. Use a difusser and blow dry your hair completely. I just turn my head downwards and let all of my hair rest in the top of the diffuser. By doing this, it gets scrunched by itself and I don't have to keep scrunching it with my hands.

4. After your hair has dried, use the wide-toothed comb to kind of fluff your hair (don't comb through it after it has dried because it will become mega frizzed!)

5. Apply another coat of LA Looks gel (THIS IS ESSENTIAL) without the extra coat of gel your hair will become frizzy again :-%26gt;

These are the steps that I take...believe it or not I usually wash my hair at night and as long as I follow these steps and remember to put that extra layer of gel on my hair after it dries, my hair fixes very easily in the morning. I don't have white flakes and my hair doesn't get hard unless I don't wash it for a couple of days in a row.

I hope this helps :-]
there are certain shampoos with salt water in it. you could try that or just put product in your hair after you get out of the shower
maybe your hair would be better if you use bit of baby oil. but you should try getting your hair treated. put avocado in your hair and leave it on for 10min tops and then wash it off.. do this for about twice a week and you might get a better hair condition. and if you like the way your hair gets after soaking it.. then just wet it when ever you get a chance to go to a restroom.. and when you shower just dont blow dry it, let it dry naturally.
Do you brush it? If so, dont. It gets out your curls and makes it frizzy. Good luck!
