Male curly hair. Help for a new style?

I have fairly short very curly hair and I want to get it to the style in the link below but not sure how to do it as at the mo it just looks frizzy and chunky, how do i do it? (i.e. thinning?) Thanks XD

After you wash your hair, let it air dry for about 20 minutes (or until it is less than 50% dry). Put in a frizz control gel, then use a blow dryer and your fingers to smooth the hair as you dry. After your hair is dry, smooth the frizz control gel over it again, and brush through it with your fingers. This should (temporarily) achieve the look you want.Male curly hair. Help for a new style?
No can do without a major bit of work. Your hair has to be long and straightened and the be given a wave. In time it will ruin your hair unless you can afford a high end hair dresser and some very expensive hair dressing.
