Okay, So ive been growing my hair out for 9 months. My hair now is 5 inches. My hair is obviously curly
Anyway, what I would do is wash my hair everyday(as in water it, not shampoo), and then comb it back with a wide tooth comb and then use Anti frizz serum to tame the split ends/frizz and have a wet healthy look.
However, this hasnt been working for the past couple of days. My hair has been getting long to the point where the sides are starting to get out of control.
Now then, heres the kicker. I have NOT trimmed my hair, for the past 9 months. No type of cutting. Could this be the reason why my hair is getting out of control? And it's kinda pissing me off that I have to wet my hair everyday, and apply serum, in order for it to look healthy.
Anyway, what should I do? Would trimming be helpful?Curly hair HELP?!! Plz answer!?
Getting a trim would definelty help.. but what i do (i have curly hair as well)is in the shower run the comb through my hair and don't brush it when i get out of the shower. then i dry it a little in a towel and put the anti-frizz in my hair
Also don't wash your hair everyday i wash it every other day
If you live in a area that is about to enter winter that could also be a factor because the air is dryier and it cause curl hair to go out of controlCurly hair HELP?!! Plz answer!?

It's important to see someone who really knows how to work with curly hair. Most stylists don't get any training with curly hair in beauty school.

I read in a magazine that trimming your hair will make it better is a MYTH! so dont. your hair is probably just becoming immune to your shampoo and serum. good luck! my hairs like that it drives me C-R-A-Z-Y!!! :)
No. You dont need your hair trimmed unless it has been longer than 6 months since the lat time you trimmed it. You half to rock you curly hair. I have very curly hair and mine has gotten longer about 3 or 4 inches past my shoulders and my hair frizzes so if you have a straitner a really cute way to do your hair is put it in a bun but make sure the curls stick up over the top of your head and then straiten your bangs. That is a really cute look. If you want to leave it down then you can go to walmart's hair cutting place and get what is called Bed Head for curly hair and it keeps my hair from frizzing at all. My hair is very thick too and when i wear it down and use that product i get all kinds of compliments. It has that look like you hair is wet but its not and it looks like a shiney very healthy look. Hope it helped
