hair spray girl! and lots n lots of product, ask your hairdresser when you go. try some frizz serum as well.
put your hair in a bun one night and and take it out the next morning, then use your hair and make it frizzy a little (not too much) you dont have to cut your hair if you dont want 2

:D
Keep it how it is. The other one looks...ew.
i love your original hair, it's beautiful i want it
fry/straighten your ends

use the wax

use a mousse for volume

flip upsidedown and shake for the crazy part
what i do is i put alot of curling mousse on it when it is wet and it keeps my curls looking just like that second pic
i agree, i love your original hair. But you can try

Okay, so you have tight, kinky curls and want the looser, softer curls. Hmm, tough one. I'm a curly head, too, with a tendency toward frizziness if I don't use tons of good curling and moisturizing products, so i understand the dilemma.

My hair texture is different from yours, curls are not as tight. But I will do my best to give you my recommendations. From what I understand about kinky, you would need to straighten your hair (risking MORE frizziness), than recurl to larger, looser curls. Based on everything I've experienced (I'm not a hair stylist, so please go easy on me!), it is difficult, if not impossible, to change the quality of a natural curl without chemical intervention.

Also, since you have to use wax on your hair, I assume you have thick, coarse hair. That makes achieving a softer, looser curl even more difficult. If you don't want to go the chemical treatment route, you can try large (depending on how long your hair is...) rollers on your entire head when your hair is wet with an oil based setting product that will moisturize and set the ';new'; curl, and let hair dry naturally. You can use a hair dryer (NOT A BLOWDRYER!), but use a very low setting.

This will produce looser, bouncier curls (again, the size of the rollers is key...if you have long hair, it is safe to use very large rollers. If you go too large, you run the risk of actually straigthening your hair since there isn't enough length to work with. I would consult someone at your beauty supply store for a specific size recommendation based on your existing hair length.)

After you remove the rollers, gently run your fingers through the curls. DO NOT BRUSH as that will make them frizzy. You can also a leave in conditioner/styling mousse to enhance individual curls around your face. Just don't use anything water based or too much of any product or your hair will start to lose the loose curl and start to to frizz.

I hope this helps! And from one curly head to another ~~ good luck! Don't be afraid to experiment on your hair and different drying or rolling or setting techniques... you can always jump in the shower again if you don't like the results!
