I have naturally curly hair.. which in most cases (very few) came to my advantage.. but I LOVE it straight! There's were my problem comes in, I'm 14, and my mom says that I'm too young to have damaged hair.. which I don't, but I guess if I keep on using the flat iron thats were its going to get me.. So here's my question:
HOW ON EARTH CAN i MAKE THE MOST OUT OF MY CURLY HAIR?!
jells.. techniques.. ANYTHING!
how on earth can i get beautiful big curls...
(try not suggesting a curling iron)
thanks in advance!
Making the best of my curly hair! HELP!?
It sounds like we're in the same boat. I have pretty crazy hair if I don't do something to tame it down every day. I'm 13, and my mom doesn't believe in layers.
What I do is wash it with some curly shampoo, which is made to help the curls develop. Then I detangle it as best as I can with my fingers. Remember, a comb or brush is your worst enemy. It actually does a lot if you just use your fingers. Then, you dry it as best as you can with an old t-shirt or pillowcase- towels just make your hair frizzy. I usually use some form of hand curl gel- but it sounds like you need a curl sculpter. I use Garnier Fructis Curl Sculpter (Extra strong) which makes my top layers much more defined. Then you just let it air-dry and you'll get wonderful natural curl!Making the best of my curly hair! HELP!?
Tigi Catwalk makes a product line called Curls Rocks. They are awesome. If you use the Curls Rocks Amplifier ( it is a creme), run it through your hair good. Then use the Curls Rocks Booster, it is a spray (not a hair spray, ie not sticky). Spray thru your curls good. Then use a difffuser on your blow dryer, hanging your head upside down using low heat use your diffuser to scrunch your curls in. Then after the hair is dry/almost dry, use Curls Rocks hair spray (non aerosol) to set the curls in for the day.
thats exactly how i am girl. i hate when my hair is curly, but if i straighten it too much it looks really damaged so i know exactly where your at. :)
i just shampoo/conditioner like regular. then i use paul mitchell gel all over it while its still wet. then i blow dry it half way with a diffuser. it'll look a little bit flat, so use LOTS of hairspray. bend over %26amp; just spray it down really well. that'll give it volume when it air drys. :)
it depends on how curly your hair is, if it is super curly then this is good http://www.tresemme.com/curl/products/fl
but if u have not so super curly curls (like me) but still have some curl then u should put mousse in your hair then blow dry it on low heat. this will make curls that aren't crunchy. you could skip the blow drying and just go for crunchier curls. just experiment to see what you like
hope i helped!
I found a few of these videos on youtube. They might help:

And I reccomend using Herbal Essences :
-Totaly Twisted
-None of your frizness
to get BIG curls.. try using large rollers while your hair is wet and let your hair air dry.. i know it would be a long process but you would not damage your hair. good luck
try putting herbal essence's moose in your hair then scrunch your hair and put it half up half down try to get the littlest curls possible to look cuter
when your hair is wet, put moose it in golf ball size. then blowdry your hair but not completely dry. let it air dry some, then as it dries your hair will be in curls
Try to use this stuff call ausie sprits i have curls hair to and this stuff truely works
