straightners!!! GHDs!!
I had the same problem - no shop-brought stuff that worked for everyone else was working for me (Herbal Essence, Mane 'n Tail, Curls, Aussie...)

But luckily i've found my mircale product =] (haha I sound like a sales person =P)

Have you tried ';H`Suan Wen Hua';?

It's a before-shampoo hair care treatment from Lush

http://www.lush.co.uk/products/HSuan_Wen_Hua_1986.aspx

I tried it and am now in love

It says to leave it on for 20 mins, but I usually leave it two hours. It softens hair, moisturises it, gets rid of frizzies and makes it shinyer. The only problem is that it smells very strongly of cinnamon. I hate the smell, but the product it so effective that I can't help buying it again.

Also, they are completely against animal testing, and encourage you to recycle your lush-brought pots (by giving out offers: eg. Bring back 5 black pots and get a free face mask =D), so you'll be helping the environment too x
use kerastase oleo curl shampoo and the gelee mask it is absoulety brilliant, your hair will be rich and soft and say goodbye to candy floss tresses!
What exactly don't you likle about your hair? Your description isn't very clear...But if you can tell me more I should be able to help because I have curly hair and have tried all the products and techniques under the sun! x
I have the same issue. You have two options. Either cutting or aiding.

Cutting

a) Go to a hairdresser and get your hair layered OR

b) Go to a hairdresser and get your hair heavily thinned out

Both of these really help, but if you don't want to lose any length (like me) then thinning is the way to go.

Aiding

a) Embrace the curl! With curling creams. Look for creams that specify ';anti-frizz';, ';tightens curls';, ';elminates fuzz'; etc. I always use hairdresser recommended products that you buy in the salon. More expensive, but definatly a better product. Personal note - Loreal is always very very good in most of their products

b) Try and straighten your hair, but this heavily damages it after time.

c) Put curlers in your hair after you wash it, you can pick the sort of curls that you want depending on the size of the rollers you use. This will help them stay down a bit more depending on what size you use.

d) Use a very deep conditioner. This is a key to having healthy hair, I use a conditioner mask every time I wash my hair and leave it in for ten minutes. It has really helped.

Good luck! I'm sure you will look gorgeous no matter what you do!

Help me out with your opinion?

hair clippers will sort your problem out guaranteed
I know how you feel, i also have long curly hair. I have my hair cut with layers so that it is lighter and the curls are not as heavy, which means it will be a much nicer curl. I will tell you my routine and you can see if it works for you.

(All this is done over the bath or shower with your head always down, i don't know why but if i stand up and wash it it goes VERY frizzy!)

I wash and condition my hair. Comb your hair whilst the conditioner is on, it will be easier to do and wont damage your hair as much.

Once the conditioner is washed out run the comb through one more time making sure your hair is all knot free.

Then i add Toni %26amp; Guy curl cream, scrunch it in, then i give it a spary of Toni %26amp; Guy beach babe spray.

Then with your hair still upside down use a diffuser.

Dry hair until almost dry and then add a tiny bit of wax, carry on drying until completly dry.

Hope it works :)
You can use hair straightners.

To make ur hair perfect go to the salon and have ur hair fixed then u can straighten it but dont straighten it everyday..
I've got long curly hair too! I use shampoo and conditioner. Before washing out the conditioner, brush your hair, it won't make it frizzy. Then I towel dry my hair and put John Freda hair serum on then Umberto Gianinni afterwards. Try it, it works for me!
get it chemically straightened?
Brush your hair in the shower. When you get out, squeeze dry it, do NOT brush it anymore. Use a small amount of gel or other product but apply it all over your hair with your entire hand and do NOT run your fingers through your hair, you will pull the curls apart and they will frizz. Then take small sections of hair and grab them from the bottom (be careful not to separate the curls) and pull on them slightly while running over them with a straightener, make sure it's one that doesn't have a brush attachment or anything, just a flat straightener. Run over each section just a few times. This is what I do, my hair is super curly and really long, and this gives me soft, wavy curls, people compliment them all the time. Completely straightening your hair will damage it and add to the frizz, also makes it harder to grow. And make sure to get it trimmed regularly, split ends are horrible for managing curly hair. I use Bed Head- Control Freak as my gel, its pretty cheap.
Starigtners and heat spray
same here, except mines really thick aswell. i usually damp my hair slightly then use coconut conditiner, or u could use the more expensive products which work much better like the tigi catwalk serums, theyr used in most hair salons. they should keep ur hair flat for a few hours and even if it does get big the curls will still stay defined all day, u also have to make sure u dnt keep touching ur hair because that makes it even more frizzy lol hope this helps. good luck =) xxx
