Flat iron curly hair help!?

my hair is BIG, THICK, very curly. i have a very nice Chi flat iron. i just need tips on how to flat iron it quick and simple.Flat iron curly hair help!?
best way to straighten thick curly hair is to clip up all your hair and just pull down small sections at a timeFlat iron curly hair help!?
Ok. I always recommend you to use a product that is designed to be used with a flat iron. This will help protect your hair. After you have towel dried your hair, using a brush blow dry your hair out as straight as you can, then section the hair out and use the chi iron. You want to use small sections of hair to get them nice and straight. Move the chi iron across the hair quickly, it gets very hot and does not need to be on the hair for any length of time. Start near the scalp and pull the chi thru to the ends of the hair.
First, you need to blow dry it straight, if it's a tad frizzy it's ok as the flat iron %26amp; products will help.

I like the John Frieda's Frizz Ease line or Ouidad - both are great at calming the curls. Look at the lines (Ouidad has a product quiz which is helpful) %26amp; see which products are best for you.

Then blow dry - a straightening attachment is a big help

LAST - use the flat iron. Start at the roots %26amp; s l o w l y go down the section of hair. For me. I clip the hair up %26amp; do the back, then the sides, then the top %26amp; bangs.

HTH!!
What I do personally...

I put a little bit (pea size) of Bio Silk in my hair when it's still damp. Don't put too much or your hair will be greasy. Then I have it air dry or you can blow dry whatever is more convenient for you. Then when it's dry your hair is somewhat silky feeling. Try to brush it with a regular brush first. Then split your hair into sections. You want to clamp the iron and go slowly from the root of your hair to end, follow by a comb. If it's not completely straight... then repeat.

Hopefully this helps. Just fyi it is time consuming when you have a lot of hair. But if you don't mind this works for me...
I have really curly hair too, it helps if you flatten tiny sections of hair at a time (about 1 inch sections). Also, use a curl relaxing shampoo, and a diffuser when you blow dry. And while you are straightening, pin up half your hair with a big clip and only do half at a time, it will make it easier.
I have the same kind of flat iron.. and it is great! What you have to do is put most of your hair in a pony tail and leave some down. Go really slowly over 1 inch sections at a time, use a wide tooth comb to follow your flat iron. When you are done that layer tie it in a separate pony tail and then let down some more hair from the other pony tail. This works really well. It should take you a bout a half an hour. If you rush then it won't turn out very well.

I hope this helped!
divide your hair into parts and work on each part over and over and when one is done go to the next. trust me it works because my friend had thick hair and she does it all te time. ut i have very tin straigt beautiful perfect hair so i really don't know how it feels but i do know tat's how you straigt it.
A CHI is a really great flat iron.To simply flat iron you hair you can part you hair in two and flat iron each side. Your hair is thick and curly, so make sure you leave the flat iron and the top of your hair for at least 3 seconds longer.
i have the same type of hair, and a chi! i use rusk shine spray its like 13 bucks and its really good. if you cant get that i would use really good conditioner and let it dry all the way before straightening
ok pull most of your hair up into a pony tail leaving ony a small section down, straighten that, and let another layer fall do this untill the whole thing isstraightened
use a heat tamer spray such as: Tresemme Thermal Creations or Special Effects Flat Iron Spray
