I want my fringe straight but leave the rest of it curly. Kinda like my Yahoo Answers picture.
I have wavy/softly curling hair, and I got a fringe. If I blow dry the fringe, it looks really good and straight, but If I let it air dry, it goes curly. I know its really bad to blow dry your hair everyday, but I wash it every 2 days, so I blow dry it every two days and its only the fringe, the rest air dries. Is this bad? How can I get my fringe straight without blow drying it? HELP!
Thanks in advance.Wavy/Curly Hair Help? Easy 10 points!!?
you can get big curlers to use to dry the hair fairly straight while still having a curve... or you can flat iron your fringe but that causes more damage than blow drying... I've gone through kicks of blow drying my hair daily and i my hair faired fine after switching to a moisturizing conditioner and a thermal protective spray but since its only your bangs i bet its fine, just keep any split ends trimmed and your hair will stay looking healthyWavy/Curly Hair Help? i had this problem before. I don't think it matters if you blow dry your fringe everyday because you will getting the split ends that blow drying it creates trimmed every time you trim your fringe so it doesn't really matter. The only other option is straightening it which is even worse for your hair so i would just stick to blow drying.
The only way I think to get it straight is to blow dry it or use a (good quality) flat iron, but that might be worse then using the blow dryer. Use some kind of hair product that helps protect your hair during heat product use.
Since you cut your fringe often new hair will keep growing out so don't worry about the damage too much.
First, I LOVE hair like that. I style my hair like that sometimes and i think its soo cute! but blowdrying my bangs is usually what i do. Or try getting straightening gel. put just a little in your bangs so that it doesn't get greasy. but it keeps the hair straight while not gelling it in place. However, if you love it blow-dried, keep with it. its not all that bad.
You could buy some hair straighteners, if your hair goes straight easily, then they may not need to be a very high temperature so they won't damage your hair as much. You must ALWAYS use heat protection spray/ cream when blow drying your hair. If you are only drying it every two days, it should be OK if you use heat protection spray
you have the exact same hair that i do. :) after i wash my hair, i usually just straighten the fringe or just put your hair where you want it, use some gel, and put a bobby pin in until it dries. or just play around with it a lot (i do.)
if you use hair protection serum before blow drying it wont damage your hair so much. let your hair dry naturally and straighten the fringe. or just blow dry or fringe n let the rest of your hair dry naturally.
My hair is exactly the same and theres not alot of ways around it
you can try lee stafford straightening anti frizz creams but the make you hair feel awful but they smell really good.

to be honest im not really sure if u can go without blowdrying. as long as u use conditioner it shudnt do much damage 2 ur hair. but let it air dry ocassionally
thats fine!
straightening and blow drying is fine as long as its not 24/7 and you use protecter spray/serum

An iron. The best ones are the ones that are made from ';ceramic';. I have curly hair too and it works great.
