Naturally Curly Hair help?

I have brown, shoulder length naturally curly hair. I straighten it occasionally but it frizzes a lot when I do.I want to be able to wear it down and have it look cute without frizzing and I don't want to have to do a whole lot to it. What do you think? should I let it grow or get it cut? Any suggestions on products/ styling tips??

Hey I have the exact same kind of hair and I had the same problem but I started using this heat protector oil the brand is TCB and it worked great in my hair and I used an electrical straightenerNaturally Curly Hair help?
I have the same type of hair, and I used to straighten it all the time like you do. But I still couldn't wear it down because it would frizz...so, i stopped straightening and focused on the curls instead. I use the Garnier Fructis Curl Construct mousse and it works really well. The best way to use it is to shower the night before and put the mousse in and go to sleep with it on. In the morning the results are much better. You can touch it up with a little bit of gel in the morning and you're good to go :)
I know what you're talking about! My hair used to be shoulder-length, and I couldn't wear it straight because of the frizz. I have a CHI flat iron, which I love. If I straighten my hair with that, esp. in the winter when the humidity is down, it'll stay straight for the most part. My hair spiral curls, so I hardly ever wear it straight. Always use heat protection. I love the Kenra thermal styling sprays - they protect and smell great. Also, I deep condition my hair often. Joico makes amazing conditioners, but if you want something cheaper, I think the Fructis works just as well! I've been growing my hair out, it's past my shoulder blades in the back and just past my shoulders in the front. I have the ends trimmed once ever 10 weeks or so, my bangs more often. I think my hair is less frizzy being longer, but it helps that I don't use heat on it - except for once in a while. One more thing - every time I wash my hair I use conditioner, then while it's damp I use Sunsilk for surly hair. It's a curl defining lotion that works so well. Prevents frizz and helps hold curl.

I hope this has helped some - sorry to ramble on and on! Just do your best with you hair and you'll figure it out!
maybe you should try clarifying shampoo, protein enriched conditioner, check for split ends, and seek a light hair serum that won't weigh your hair down, moisture protein mousse and if you have access to a hair dryer that would be great too(for me blow dryer produce frizzy action)with the use of Chi thermal products and medium holding spray, and oil spray. a great hair cut is the foundation of complimentary hairstyles.
i have the same type of hair!

the way to keep it controlled is to mousse it down..i like to use Tresemme or Herbal Essences.

then difusse until dry.

the difuser holds in curls without frizzing and the mousse helps it stay down for a while.

but if you want it straight withought frizzing there are certain shampoos that help with that after you straighten

:]
i have bushy and frizzy hair and i straighten it every day in the morning but it goes frizzy agin after 30 mins but now ive strarted using frizz ease hair serum after my shower and my hair dont frizz to much now.

hope i helped
Grow it out use a ceramic blow dryer and ceramic flat iron w/ serum prior to the blowdrying and the result will be silky straight hair.
