i have curly hair, but i can't figure out what to do with it. the bottom is really curly, but the top isn't as curly and it looks unbalanced. i've tried getting the top to curl but it won't. any tips?Curly hair help?
straighten it thats what i do.Curly hair help?
I have had curly hair all my life. If you want curls along the sides and such have your hair dresser cut your hair in layers. The weight of the hair is causing it to curl on ends only. If you have it cut in layers you will have beautiful hair in which you can blow dry and direct the curl at the same time. Little hair spray and a beautiful hair do without the work of others. Also your hair will be alot lighter and more manageable. Remember layers will make you look at least 5 years younger too.
omg. i have the exact same problem.
do you put it up in a ponytail?
if so, try to do this as little as possible.
it stretches the top layer out.
dont put your hair up when its wet.
this straightens out the top part.
and NEVER brush your hair.
always use a fine tooth comb.
it works best when your hair is wet.
you may want to use curl scrunching gel
or curl spray.
also, shampoo and conditioners to enhance curls help.
herbal essences has good hair products,
i use their totally twisted gel and shampoo.
it works wonders.
if your desperate,
you may want to curl the top
with a curling iron.
be sure to use heat protectant spray! (:
oh god put some baby lotion on it
scrunch it a little bit
and let it dry naturally ....
:-) it works for me
You can use some Loreal Kids Detangler too
is more cheap that the pro stuff and it works much better...
I've tried everything from Beyond Zone, Sexy Hair, Paul, ect ect.. lot of bull this really work for me
buy a flat iron :)
really, thats what i would do.
if you wanted to go straight, that is.
if you want to work with your curls,
buy some sort of curl taming hair product,
and a curling iron and try to go for this sort of look:

best bet is to see a professional hairstylist and get their opinion.
when your hair is wet....brush it to get all the knots out at the ends...while your hair is still wet squish your hair from ends to root....you can also add products like gel. you should look for gels that help with curls (define curl gel) and shampoo and cond....also dont buy cheap products...they can actually break your hair far more then help you b/c they have a lot of detergent on it.
I used to have the same problem, and a good haircut saved me. It seems they have to layer it, especially around the face so that it appears to have curl all over. Well, not just appear, but be lightened up enough to actually curl.
I have natural wavy hair so I know what you are talking about. If the top part of your hair is long the length is weighing it down. If you really don't' want to cut the top I would recommend that you use a curling iron or small rollers.
Good Luck!
Try straightening the bottom half of your hair.
If you're trying to curly your hair, Try to use curly spray. It's for people with straight hair to make your hair easier to curl.
I used it before. and it was awesome.
Like the others said straiten it and if you don't want it to look damaged or anything try to get the straighteners with gold plating and that are Fabric straighteners they do absoulutly nothing to your hair to make it damaged
get better moose/hair hold curls.
or get a perm.
or try straightening your hair instead of curlys. even though curlys i think are really pretty. i think its pretty thought when people just have it curly on the bottom. its in.
Straigten the bottom. I have the same problem with my hair. On the top it's curly. I just straight iron it and it's not even noticeable! Good luck!
Actually, that kind of look is really pretty! When i do my hair like that i always get compliments!
you could get a perm for the top
Buy ISO Bouncy Cream, and scrunch %26amp; blow dry.
