When I do straighten it it get frizzy within the hr or so. Any suggestions as to what straightner and products to use will be helpful...thanksI would like to straighten my hair. The problem is I have: long, thick, curly hair. Help?
Straighten shampoos don't work and are just an advertising gimmick. Don't blow your money on them. Hair gels used with flat irons are very temporary and so much work when you hair is long and thick.
Try the Yuko Hair Straightening System. There are a lot of Japanese hair straighten systems out there. My stylist has tried several of them and she says Yuko is by far the best. Yuko was invented in Japan, by a petite woman named Yuko. To get permission to obtain and use the Yuko straighten process materials a stylist must attend a special school given by Yuko herself.
Yuko is expensive ($600 and up) but it's worth every single penny. The process takes 6 or more hours. The price depends on how thick %26amp; long your hair is so you need to go for a consultation before you get the process done. Yuko straightens and smoothes curly, dry, unruly hair PERMANANTLY until the roots grow out. It does NOT damage hair the way a chemical hair relaxers do. Your hair will be sleek, shiny and straight and in even BETTER shape than it was before you did the Yuko process. NO! I don't work for the company! I have used Yuko on my hair for three years straight now though and I swear by it.
The Yuko process can also be reversed to obtain natural curls again if you don't like it - but my guess it, if your hair is like mine, very thick, bushy, frizzy, unruly, once you do the Yuko process and see how great your hair looks, you'll never go back. Below is link so youcan learn about the Yuko system and find a salon in your area that does it. Good luck!I would like to straighten my hair. The problem is I have: long, thick, curly hair. Help?
i suggest that you go to the hairdresser and get it rebonded.
depending on the rate your hair grows, it can last up to half a year for me. as in, the rebonded parts are still straight, but the roots are curly already...
you need proffessional straighteners, like what they use at the hairdressers, not cheap ones %26amp; shwartzoff do a good serum
I have this same problem!! Nothing I do seems to last long, and I live in Hawaii, so as soon as I go outside...poof! But one thing that I found that is helpful is this stuff called CHI silk infusions. U put it on ur hair when its wet then style as usual. I notice that my hair is alot easier to straighten, softer, and shinier. And when I go outside my hair doesnt poof out.
Wah same here! What i do is flip my head down (so im looking at my feet) when i have just washed it and it's wet, then i get a round brush and blow dry it straight ( looking at my feet the whole time lol! ) but make sure you use heat protection. Then, it'll be straight and still big n frizzy though, so i turn on my ghd's (the irons that we use in the uk, if you live in the usa then chi or whatever) get the expensive ones i promise there is a BIG difference! Us thick haired need the proper ones im afraid! Now sit/stand normally and put your hair into sections, buy some LARGE sectioning clips from boots or somewhere. get your thumbs above your ears, then slide them round the back of you had so they touch. the hair you have above your thumbs, twist up onto your head and secure with clips. Then put on heat protection on each section, from an arms lengh away (or your hair will be soaked, then frazzled!) then brush and straighten each section from root to tip! then when straight, unleash the frizzy hair on top, and do the thumb thing but higher up. Do this over again then vola! It may still be frizzy after, but put in some leave in conditioner, and sleep on it, mine calms down over night! Make sure you treat your hair with masks and stuff okay?
right i know this woman ALREADY has straight hair, but if you don't understand my guide then this may make you understand a bit more. I want to help coz im in your shoes!!!

my hair is the same way but i messed up and got a perm. i have found that there really isnt any way for me to get it straight. but my cousin has the same problem and she gets her hair cut to shoulder lenghth and uses a curl brush and a hair dryier to straighten hers and when shes done with that she uses anti frizz or frizz control products.
have a HAIR RELAX on ur nearest salons...I did it.. it really looks sooo straight; not thick; shiny; and bouncy..The salon i went is davids salon....its really worth it..and it actually lasts like a year.
