I am caucasian with tight curly hair and have hair that won't grow.?

I don't know what products will make it grow faster, I want beautiful hair to the bottom of my back, but it won't grow! I don't know what to do to get it longer. It hasn't make noticeable growth for 8 years. I'm now almost 19 years old. Help! :)I am caucasian with tight curly hair and have hair that won't grow.?
Your hair is most likely growing, but since it's very curly it will always look shorter than it actually is. And, if you think you have it bad with your hair *looking* short for a long amount of time then how about having hair that has 80% shrinkage where it looks like a 4 inch afro, but is actually mid-back length, and those people have hair that looks the same length for several years, even though it is getting longer. It's called shrinkage, and some people have it worse than others.





Really, there isn't much you can do about. You can get a chemical texturizer to loosen your curls so your hair will look longer than it is now. There are some products that make your hair curlier and thus makes your hair look shorter, so you might want to stay away from those products, if all you care about is how long your hair ';looks.'; I use Wen cleansing conditioner and it always makes my hair curlier, thus making it appear even shorter than it normally does. But, I like Wen, so I'll keep on using it.
