How to get tight curly hair (african)?

hey, i already got curly hair, but its too spacey or whateva. so i was wondering if anybody knew how to tighten it up?

uh unless you want to use chemicals and get a curly perm (i don't recommend this) i don't think there's really any way to get tighter curls.





but you may be able to achieve this look by making your curls less defined. just comb or brush through you curls until they aren't defined and your hair looks more like an afro.How to get tight curly hair (african)?
LOL! this question is funny. I have very very tightly curled hair (look up 3c curly hair---thats my hair type) My hair is pretty much natural, but there are products you can use in order to define your curls. Also getting the right hair cut can make a huge difference in curl defenition. If you have lose curls then there is pretty much nothing you can do..unless you go the chemical rout, which i wouldnt advise.
Try scrunching while blow drying or adding curl defining mousse or gel and playing with your hair while air drying.
