I have REALLY curtly hair. I love it so much and would enjoy so much to wear it down, but it frizzes out in about .2 seconds. It always looks so good (and with perfect curls) in a ponytail, but it poofs so much! It looks good with a curling iron too, but I don't have the time to do that in the morning. Any help with what I should do??Frizzy, curly hair help?
Hair gets frizzy because its lacking moisture and tries to obtain it from the air (specially in humidity).... so make sure you're using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. I love the whole Tigi Catwalk Curls' Rock line. I use the leave-in conditioner and then the curl amplifier and let my hair dry naturally. Then I use a little bit of the Curls Rock hair spray. It helps to let you hair dry completely before walking outside too...its less likely to frizz if its completely dry (specially if humid outside). Frizzy, curly hair help?
I like this curly hair product:
The brand is Ion, and it's in a small green container with a twisty cap.
It's especially for curly hair, and it makes my hair less frizzy, and not as poofy.
Also, use weekly moisture treatments and make sure your hair is hydrated,
Hair looks wayyy frizzier when it's dry.
I suggest leaving olive oil on your hair for about an hour once a week and Dove Leave-In Conditioner.
Hope I helped (:
I have the same problem. I hate it when my hair goes all 'stat-icky'.
My hairdresser says that what I should do at home if i want to do it quick is just to:
1. Use anti-frizz serum thats heat-proof
2. Use straighteners just to make the curls less frizz-like.
Make sure you only run it once or twice over a thick bunch of hair to get a minimum but satisfying effect.
My hairs really thick so I just take a huge bunch and straighten all of it at once so it's not dead straight but controlled.
Brush it through with a wide combed comb to keep curls intact.
i know how you feel and it's so annoying !
what i find that works is, to comb through my met hair (not brush) and then run some anti-frizz serum through it (i use the Dove one) and just let it dry naturally. then once it's dry, if there are any stray or fizzy strands, i run some more of the serum though it ones it's dry just to calm it down.
hope this helps :)
You need to find a good product that works for you. Sometimes it mite take a few different trys of some different products to figure out what one works best for you..... Rusk makes a good mouse and also biosilk can help with the frizzy hair! Good luck, i have the same problem but had to go thru a couple diff ones before finding the right one
I have really curly hair too, and it used to do the same thing. Once I started washing my hair in the night, then wearing it up in a tight bun to bed, and when I wake up I just wet it again, but not wash, and comb it [but only when its wet], and it doesn't frizz out as much.
:)
lay off of the flat irons, curling irons, and Straighteners. They REALLY fry ur hair. Put conditioner in in the shower and when hair is slightly damp apply dime sized amount outside of shower.
If you don't want your hair to frizz up so much try using hair spray and mouse! When you put tha mouse on put it on from root to tips! Then spray your whole hair with hair spray!
good luck!
yep same over here i would say a light layer of mousse should do the trick with out breaking the bank, hope that helped
well straight it
