No one can determine your curly type unless you post a picture, and that's not really safe online. :) Also, don't feel like an oddball; it is normal for there to be different curl types on one head. For example, my hair is less curly on my right side than left, and curlier underneath than the canopy layer. If you're still wondering though, this page might help:

My suggestion for you would be to find a hair stylist that specializes in curly hair and let them take it from there. I bet some LONG layers cut with normal scissors (not a razor which will tear up your ends) will do the job nicely. You might want to call around and see if anyone will cut your hair dry, since there are so many different curl types. (I'm betting your hair is a lot different wet.) Anyways this is a nifty tool for finding reviews on stylists:

Ok, you should do something. It seems like it is a bunch of things in one, so pick one thing. Maybe just straighten it out because right now it sounds just like a bunch of knots and tangles.
I can relate because I have 2B/3A kind of hair. It changes depending on what I do to it. But yeah, if it looks bad then you should straighten it. If it doesn't look bad then you should probably trim the ends and get it done so the curls wont be all different types and sizes.
Just something to give ideas
The second one is nice.
But the first one depends on how you look, doesn't work on everyone.
