Curly Hair Girls ONLY!! HAIR HELP!!!! SMH(SAVE MY HAIR)?

I have extremely thick curly hair. It gets very frizzy very easily. I just need to hear from people who have naturally curly hair andd would lke to share how theyb keep their normally frizzy curly hair undercontrol. Even some day to day routines for hair will help. Also: do you wet your hair in the bathroom during the day to calm the frizz?Curly Hair Girls ONLY!! HAIR HELP!!!! SMH(SAVE MY HAIR)?
CURLY GIRL HAIR ROUTINE:

1. No brushing

2. Only comb hair with a WIDE TOOTH comb/fingers WITH conditioner in it. Pain and breakage occurs in curly.kinky hair combed dry. I like Pantene Relaxed and Natural (brown bottle Walmart)

3. She should not shampoo every day. Opinion differs, but in general kinky/curly hair can be washed every other day or every week. Focus on scalp when you do wash. Hair gets clean from run off.

4. Eliminate sulfates from hair products, they build up in curly hair causing frizz.

5. Curly hair eats up moisture. Deep treatments every two weeks, condition everytime you shampoo or even co wash and have a leave in condish every day.

6. Twist/braids at night to avoid tangles.

7. Apply gel after washing hair, this prevents frizz.

8. Plop hair with an micro fiber towel rather than terry cloth.

9. Touch hair very little throughout the day.

This is just an outline of the routine shown in the book Curly Girl by Lorraine Massey.

AMAZING RESULTS!!!!!

TERRI'S METHOD:

If you don't want to get rid of your sulfates/silicones. It can be hard to find products without them or teh CG method doesn't work for your hair I like this site and Terri's method:

Great for mixed girls!

The only difference between these two methods? Not much besides the products and plopping. Any method that decreases frizz and makes curly hair healthier will include

1. Some type of humectant to hold curls together in humidity

2. lots of conditioner

3. no brushing

4. shampooing less

5. combing hair only when it has conditioner in it and NEVER DRY.Curly Hair Girls ONLY!! HAIR HELP!!!! SMH(SAVE MY HAIR)?
Putting water on it is a quick fix,(but will friz when dry)but using a little bit of water and gel mixed works.I keep a bottle in my purse(small bortle) of a mixture of gel water and shine spray to revive it when it gets funky in the day.

I always put product in my hair when it is still wet.Moose, gel, and a de-friz serum and i let it dry without using a blowdryer.
Garnier Fructis makes a curl construct mousse, you can get it at walmart or kmart or wherever for about $3. Smooth it on while your hair is wet and scrunch it, let it air dry. Or I use a ton of the sunsilk curl cream (also while wet) - the green bottle. Don't brush it once it's dry, that'll only make it frizz more, and try not to touch it if you can. I use a moisturizing conditioner and leave in, and only wash every 2-4 days to avoid drying my hair out. You can check out www.naturallycurly.com for some good ideas, too!
wash, condition WARNING! dont use too much shampoo, it strips the natural oils from your scalp which can make your hair dry, and cause it to frizz

mainly blow dry, particially upside down to add volume

then let it dry naturally

put some gel in, then some serum

then when you are happy with it, hairspray it

hope it helps
don't wet your hair anymore it's going to get even more frizzy. what you need to do is get a shampoo and conditioner for frizzy hair and a serum or cream to calm frizz (rusk deep shine is the best it's a bit pricey but excellent) then you need to either start straightening or take a morning shower and curl it or put curlers in.
I have the same exact problem! what i do is to dry it with paper towels (to absorb the excess water) instead of a regular towel and apply a bit of anti frizz serum. If your hair is dry, like mine, never blow dry it (unless you're straitening it) and try to wash it/wet it as little as possible.
I have natural curly hair. Not frizzy, but sometimes mine is.So i use this straightner

It works for me :]

and look at the reviews :D
using water will only make the hair more frizzy. try a silk serum (looks like water-- clear, kinda thick though) and apply to your hair when dry, but not too much or itll make your hair greasy. its what i do and it works great
i dont wet my hair to calm the frizz cause it wont help unless its really dry outside. i actually wrap my hair in a turban style and sleep with it over night and so when i wake up and put it down, it comes out pretty straight
i bought an anti frizz cream and and that helped a bit but through out the day if it gets really frizzy put some water on it and it should calm down the frizz.
Use a good conditioner, then once your out of the shower in the morning, scrunch your hair then put some hairspray so it doesn't frizz. Also, if your really worried about thick hair.. get it thinned, ask your hair dresser.
whenever i just put water in my hair it makes my hair more frizzy. So i use some sunsilk creme. When my hair is wet*after taking a shower)i put it on my hair and it does work good
next time u get ur hair cut. get it thinned.

i do wet my hair in the bathroom to calm the frizz.

but try sunsilk products. theyre good.
I use gel in the mornings. I also take a shower. Use frizz control products. Like shampoos and gels. Yes, I wet my hair during the day to calm the frizz.
my hair is EXTREMELY CURLY and i would use mouse and aussie or sun silk jell or mousse it works the best.no it makes it worse wetting it ion the bathroom hope this helps add more things if u need more answers from me.
