Does gelling %26amp; braiding your hair overnight successfully calm down frizz, volume, and tightness of your curls? Any tips for doing so?Can someone with curly hair help?
yep it does, when your hair is damp put some leave in conditioner in gel will make it too greasy and braid your hair take them out in the morning run your fingers through your hair and spray with a lil hairspray good luck :)Can someone with curly hair help?
I think the braiding could work, but I never really liked the way it looked after I did it. I'm pretty sure it works, though.
When I take a shower, I immediately get out and put leave-in conditioner in my hair. You can run it through your hair with your fingers. After that, I brush it and put moose in my hair. That keeps the frizz down big time. You don't have to use a lot of moose, since that will make your hair kind of crunchy and hard.
if you braid your hair overnight then your hair will just take on the shape of the braid..just become wavy not curly.
i suggest using shampoo and conditioner to help with frizz like john Frieda frizz ease for curly hair and then either sleep on it in a ponytail after washing (it will still stay curly don't worry because that's what i do all the time) or dry it with a diffuser but that doesn't work well for me all the time
hope this helps!
Braiding it could just cause it to wavy or curl a certain way/direction. If you gel it or add some conditioning lotion and put a small scarf or bandanna over your head before you go to sleep, then that can help de-frizz it.
My younger sister sticks it in a really tight ponytail while her hair's wet before she goes to sleep. When she wakes up, it's still curly, but there's no frizz and it's not ';poofy';-looking :)
best thing to do wis dry it brush it ans scrunch moose in it, it keeps frizz off and hair taimed abd is quick in the mornings X
If you use hair gel, then it doesnt frizz as much but if you use shampoo and conditioner for silk hair then it takes most the frizz away:)
i use gel, it gets rid of frizz and keeps your curls in place all dayy
