I think i am a 2C with 3A but i am not sure. I know i am definitely not a 3b or higher because my ';curls'; do not act like springs and i am not kinky curly haired( 4 a,b,c), at least i do not think so.. Um any suggestion with some hair products... What do you think is my hair type?
My hair when it is straight http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a167/D

You DO NOT have a fro your hair is very pretty between curls and waves the exact number I don't know but you could try some of the Sunsilk line for curl or waves--the stylihg cream in the green bottle is really nice and makes your hair soft and wavy plus they aren't really expensive if you DON'T like them(and I am a licensed hair dresser)
Take careWhat is my ';curly hair type'; (picture)?
Well it's hard to really tell by the pixelation and stuff you put on your face, but from what I can tell you are a beautiful young lady either way.
Haha, um.. Your hair is reallly curly.
I think you are 3A, but decide what you want.

Curly hair type question?
I have really tight curly hair, the curls are extremely tight and it gives it an afro look - thats the only way i can describe my hair haha
The problem is, theres bits of hairs on the curls that stick out and it gives it a spider web effect, making my hair luck curly and bushy i was wondering how i would get these wild hairs back into the curls so my hair can look healthy and all togetherCurly hair type question?
try mousse..!! you get curl define mousse which defines it..!! my hair is really curly and was frizzy but i tryed it and it makes my hair look healthier..!!!Curly hair type question?
get a good shampoo, and conditioner as well.
wash your hair then load on the conditioner, let it set for 5 mins, then rinse. when you get out of the shower use a moose or mens softening cream (drugstores) and tada!
Good question. Let me know if you figure it out because I sure can't!! :)
I think the best way is to go to a salon and have the dead ends cut off, this is what you are probably seeing. The stylists there can also recommend what would be a good shampoo and conditioning product to use on your hair, hope this helps you out.

A styling option for naturally curly hair (type 3C)?
I typically wear my hair down or up in a bun. I was wondering if I could do a wet-set every night after my workout. When I workout my hair gets wet and sweaty, could I do a co-wash and then wet-set it under hair dryer for an hour or two every night? Would this damage my hair? I'm trying to grow it out long so I need styling options that won't damage my hair and promotes growth.A styling option for naturally curly hair (type 3C)?
Any time heat is used on hair it can damage it. Use a conditioner, one with heat protection. To prevent over drying your hair, you might want to test whether your hair is dry or not at a shorter intervals than the times you mentioned.

I have very curly hair(Type 3B). What is the best curl refresher product that I can use?
My hair looks good when I just wash it and set it with mousse or hair cream. What is a good drugstore product to refresh my curls so they don't look dry or frizz? Also, what is a good second curl day product I can use to make my curls not dry?I have very curly hair(Type 3B). What is the best curl refresher product that I can use?
frizz ease works fabulously on curly hair, it really helps show up your curls and get rid of frizz with minimal effort - just a squirt in after you get out of the shower.

For people who know about curly hair types......?
I dont know what kind of curly hair i have (2B, 3B, etc...?), and i want to know so i can try to find a hair style/cut best suiting to me. My hairs is REALLY odd. Its super curly in the front, my left side is curlier than my right, the back is kinda curly/wavy, and underneath is wavy to straight...? Plus its getn really long so its weighing it down too much, so i need to cut it but i dont know what to go for.......?For people who know about curly hair types......?
No one can determine your curly type unless you post a picture, and that's not really safe online. :) Also, don't feel like an oddball; it is normal for there to be different curl types on one head. For example, my hair is less curly on my right side than left, and curlier underneath than the canopy layer. If you're still wondering though, this page might help:
http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types
My suggestion for you would be to find a hair stylist that specializes in curly hair and let them take it from there. I bet some LONG layers cut with normal scissors (not a razor which will tear up your ends) will do the job nicely. You might want to call around and see if anyone will cut your hair dry, since there are so many different curl types. (I'm betting your hair is a lot different wet.) Anyways this is a nifty tool for finding reviews on stylists:

Ok, you should do something. It seems like it is a bunch of things in one, so pick one thing. Maybe just straighten it out because right now it sounds just like a bunch of knots and tangles.
I can relate because I have 2B/3A kind of hair. It changes depending on what I do to it. But yeah, if it looks bad then you should straighten it. If it doesn't look bad then you should probably trim the ends and get it done so the curls wont be all different types and sizes.
Just something to give ideas
The second one is nice.
But the first one depends on how you look, doesn't work on everyone.

Can my curly hair type get a perm for wavy, loose, hair?
I have really, really, curly hair and i straighten it cause i hate it when its curly. Sometimes when i straighten it, i curl it to loose curls (which takes way too long) and it look so much better than my curly, spirally hair. Can I get a perm with my hair type, for more of a a wave and loose curl? Can my curly hair type get a perm for wavy, loose, hair?
do not get a perm!!!!! me and my mom both have curly hair and and my mom told me a story how she got a perm when she was a teenager and her hair puffed up and she looked like a lion... you would have to get your hair chemically straightened but then it wouldn't be in spiral curls, it would be a kind of frizzy wave. but you could always get a relaxer treatment once or twice so it doesnt go straight it just loosens the curl, you have to talk to your hair stylist first to make sure he/she doesn't put too much of the treatment!!!
good luck :)Can my curly hair type get a perm for wavy, loose, hair?
you can get a complete straight or any other kind i would think.call a beauty shop and ask

Type 3: Curly hair
With curly hair, there is a definite loopy ';S'; pattern. Pluck out a hair, stretch it out. Notice the curvy lines. Looks like s stretched-out Slinky, doesn't it? Most people think curly hair is coarse, but actually it is usually baby soft and very fine in texture there's just a lot of it. Because the cuticle layers don't like as flat, curly hair isn't as shiny as straight or wavy hair. The hair doesn't have a very smooth surface, so light doesn't reflect off of it as much. When curly hair is wet, is usually straightens out. As it dries, it absorbs the water and contracts to its curliest state. Those of you with Type 3 hair know all too well that humidity makes curly hair even curlier, or even frizzier.
If you're a Type 3, your hair has a lot of body and is easily styled in its natural state, or it can be easily straightened with a blow-dryer into a smoother style. Healthy Type 3 hair is shiny, with soft, smooth curls and strong elasticity. The curls are well-defined and springy: pull out a strand of hair and stretch it; it won't snap in two. Damaged Type 3 hair is usually frizzy, dull, hard and dry to the touch, with fuzzy, ill-defined curls.
There are two subtypes of curly hair. Type 3A, hair that is very loosely curled like Julia Robert's or Susan Sarandon's is usually very shiny with big curls. The shorter the hair, the straighter it gets. The longer the hair the more defined the curl. Type 3B, on the other hand, is hair with a medium amount of curl, ranging from bouncy ringlets think of Shirley Temple to tight corkscrews think of actress Cree Summer of television's Sweet Justice of jazz singer Cleo Laine. It's not unusual to find both subtypes coexisting on the same head. In fact, curly hair usually consists of a combination of textures, with the crown being the curliest part.

What is the best way to stop frizz on black curly hair type?
I've tried everything to stop it. My hair is not the extra smooth mixed girl curly hair but more thicker. I think my uncontrollable frizz is contributing to breakage at the ends. What is the best way to stop frizz on black curly hair type?
First, see your beautician at least every 6 weeks for a professional quality relaxer or texturizer. Do not rely on a home kit, seek an experienced professional.
Next see your beautician every two weeks for a shampoo and deep conditioning and ask your beautician's advice for what products to use to maintain your look between visits.
I recommend styles that are either wrapped or rolled, and you must commit to wrapping/rolling on a nightly basis. Use smooth magnetic rollers only, not fabric, sponge, or velcro. Those are just asking for frizz! Overnight, cover hair with a silk or satin scarf or cap and switch to silk/satin pillow cases. Other materials create friction which can lead to both frizz and breakage.
If you're not interested in chemical processes (relaxing, texturizing, etc.) You have 4 new best friends. A high quality blow dryer with a diffuser attachment (I like the Gold'n Hot brand), a vented brush, a high quality ceramic plate flat iron 1 inch wide or less (I got an inexpensive one by conair at walmart that has a turbo boost feature. works great, but I've had to buy 3 in the last two years. good thing they're not expensive) , and oil sheen. After washing and conditioning your hair, wrap it in a towel to absorb most of the moisture and cut back on the amount of heat applied to your hair. When hair is slightly damp, but before it begins to frizz, begin blow drying small sections between the dryer and your vented brush working downward from root to tip with the blow dryer on top of the hair and the brush underneath. For added protection, use a lightweight product designed to protect your hair from overexposure to heat which can also be damaging to your hair. Once the hair is dry, lightly spray both sides of a small section with the oil sheen and and then slowly press it from root to tip with the flat iron. Working in small sections insures that each hair is being treated and not missed, that's why I recommend the smaller flat irons. mine I think is only maybe 3/4 of an inch wide.
Now this method is much more cost efficient than bi-weekly trips to the salon but it takes so much more time. For my shoulder length hair, I know that washing it is an automatic 3 hour time committment. What's your time worth? I've done it both ways and alternate between the two depending on my mood. I've gone nearly a year without chemicals; I've spent every other Thursday or Saturday afternoon in the salon. What it comes down to is personal choice. Which is going to best fit your lifestyle?
Enjoy! What is the best way to stop frizz on black curly hair type?
Everytime a black person with natural/curly hair ask a question on Yahoo Answers someone(usually white) ALWAYS tells them to get a relaxer. If she wanted a relaxer she wouldn't be asking the question. I hate that so much.
biosilk!!!
Get a perm every month and a half for a little while and then switch to just getting it pressed and flat ironed every 1 or 2 weeks. If you don't get perms or relaxers, then you have to get it professionally done every week or two weeks or do it yourself every week or two weeks. Braid, wrap, or roll your hair every night before you go to bed. Also make sure you keep your hair moisturized on a daily basis.
try sunsilk shampoo and conditioner the de-frizz one... i have the same problem good luck
the garnie frizz control that's in a circular bottle....or you might wanna hit you the beauty saloons
girl, i've had that problem for years! i have black curly hair too. you can use the biosilk cure soyeuse on wet or dry hair. along with that i use the optimum oil therapy hair %26amp; scalp quencher by softsheen. that cures the frizz for sure!
